General Hospital's premiere crime figther Anna Devane is back at work and allowing everyone to believe he is completely healed after her ordeal in a French mental hospital.
However, as fans know, the former WSB agent was held captive in Wyndemere's basement for months before turning up in France. Anna spent months in a hospital fighting for her sanity, but is now finally home. However, she continues to hallucinate her late nephew, Peter August.
In her disturbed state, Peter’s apparition has convinced Anna that the only remaining child of Faison, Britt Westbourne, is her enemy and must be eliminated. While Anna is trying to fight these insincts, she may be losing the war and needs help.
5 Characters Who Can Facilitate Anna’s Recovery on General Hospital
1) Sonny Corinthos

Recently, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) visited her longtime close friend, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). As the two friends caught up on each other's lives, Anna asked to buy a piece of land from one of Sonny’s mountain properties. Sonny agreed to this deal and then asked Anna if she considered going for therapy. He proceeded to recommend the same based on his own experience with his bipolar disorder.
While it might have been a hunch that prompted him to ask Anna about therapy, it may be the start she needs. Sonny may have nailed it by identifying that she needs professional help over pretending normalcy. Even though Hallucination Peter dismiss the idea, Sonny may follow up with advice and insistence about seeing a therapist.
2) Jason Morgan

As GH fans know, Anna trusted Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) even in her broken condition. The two have collaborated on various missions over the years, including rescuing Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson) from Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) hold. As such, she may value Jason’s advice.
As yet, Jason has no inkling about Anna’s spiraling mental health. However, with Jason exiting the mob, they may interact more often. As they talk, Jason may notice signs of a troubled mind. Since he has also returned from a traumatic experience, he may try to convince her to see a mental health professional. He may offer to take her or join her to influence the decision.
3) Valentin Cassadine

Anna was in a romantic relationship with Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) before he skipped town. Anna even helped Valentin escape. After returning from the psychiatric facility and learning about Valentin’s release, Anna was delighted to see him.
Although Valentin has moved on romantically, he continues to hold a soft spot for Anna. Moreover, he knows her well. As such, he may be able to figure out her mental health problems from her behavior as they meet more often. If Valentin suspects an issue, he will insist that Anna gets into therapy. As a pushy friend, he may not back down till she accepts his advice.
4) Jordan Ashford

Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) and Anna have been friends for years. Jordan is known for her sharp insights and level-headedness. Although she moved out of active law enforcement, Jordan is perceptive and respects Anna, she may gauge something questionable in the commissioner’s attitude and demeanor.
She may identify a mental health problem and talk to Anna about it. She may even gather the right kind of influence around Anna such as Emma Drake (Braedyn Bruner), Mac Scorpio (John J York) and Felicia. With that Jordan may try to persuade Anna to get therapy.
5) Carly Spencer

This may be a surprise since Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) was never a good friend of Anna’s. However, she he may consider getting to know Valentin’s former girlfriend better. Since Anna’s recent trauma is known around the town, Carly may read the signs when she meets Anna. In the process, she may back Anna and get her the help needed. Whether she uses Josslyn's assistance remains to be seen.
