General Hospital's car crash storyline and its aftermath have been creating a lot of buzz with GH fans. Not all of the characters are able to view what happened objectively, but there are still some characters who can. Here are five characters who can make sense of the car crash chaos.
Portia Robinson
It seems like almost half the residents of Port Charles have been playing the blame game in the aftermath of the crash. But when Trina (Tabyana Ali) told Portia (Brook Kerr) and Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) confessed to being the other driver, Portia made it clear that Curtis (Donnell Turner) was responsible for punching Isaiah. No matter who the other driver was, it's Curtis' own fault that he was sentenced to 10 years in prison, with the opportunity to be paroled in two years. Portia was rational in her thinking and we applaud her for that.
Even though Portia was initially shocked to hear about Brook Lynn's secret, she felt relieved that the mystery of the other driver's identity had finally been solved. She also felt hopeful that by learning this news, perhaps Curtis will finally let go of his anger toward Isaiah and make peace with him.
Isaiah Gannon
Isaiah happened to be driving on Route 91 on the night of the accident, so Curtis assumed that he was the other driver. Like Portia, Isaiah is also relieved that he finally got an answer to the burning question about the other driver's identity.
However, one of Isaiah's main concerns is that, even though Brook Lynn was the other driver, Curtis may always look for reasons to be hostile toward him. Isaiah wants to be able to spend time with baby Desmond, and he knows Curtis (as Desmond's father) won't allow that.
But as Portia reminded Isaiah, Curtis isn't in a position to keep Isaiah away from Desmond at the moment. Isaiah felt hopeful and added that while Curtis is beginning a life behind bars, he and Portia are beginning a life of their own, which includes Desmond.
Michael Corinthos
While Michael (Rory Gibson) is Brook Lynn's cousin, he is able to be caring toward both parties who were involved in the accident. Even though he doesn't know all of Brook Lynn's reasons for keeping her involvement a secret, he knows she wouldn't keep such a secret out of malice.
He also feels empathy toward Curtis and Jordan because they are his friends and they were traumatized after the accident. Michael gave Jordan a sympathetic ear when she told him she doesn't remember being trapped in the car with Curtis after the crash. She had passed out, and Curtis and Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) were barely able to pull her out of the car before it exploded. Jordan told Michael that Curtis still feels haunted by the whole nightmare.
Michael understood because he suffered severe burns from the explosion in Sonny's (Maurice Benard) apartment a couple of years ago. Michael has a rational mindset and isn't one of the PC residents who is playing the blame game.
Dante Falconeri
When Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) learned that Brook Lynn was the other driver, he showed fair-mindedness when speaking to Chase about the matter. After all, he is a cop and the temporary commissioner of PC until Anna (Finola Hughes) receives therapy and is deemed fit to resume the role.
While Dante was initially stunned to learn that Brook Lynn kept her role in the accident a secret, he was grateful that she wasn't seriously injured when she hit the guardrail. She was only trying to avoid hitting Jordan's car, and Dante understands that. He will likely examin the full scope of the accident and realize that Brook Lynn could have been injured, if not killed, by Jordan.
Tracy Quartermaine
As Brook Lynn's grandmother, Tracy (Jane Elliot) will always have Brook Lynn's back. After all, she kept Brook Lynn's secret about being the other driver. As Tracy stated, if Curtis had kept his temper under control, then everything would have turned out differently. He wouldn't have been sentenced to prison for assaulting Isaiah, and both Trina and Desmond would have their father with them now.

Tracy also pointed out to an angry Gio that Brook Lynn is a good person who never meant to hurt anyone. She also told him that Brook Lynn loves him. We know this is true because there aren't many people who know Brook Lynn better than Tracy does. The two Quartermaine women have much in common, as both are strong-willed and will do whatever they feel is necessary to protect their family.
