After the General Hospital danger from corrupt WSB Director Ross Cullum came to an on Spoon Island, many Port Charles residents settled into their peaceful lives, while others tried to pick up the pieces. With storyline transitions over and new plots beginning, here are 5 GH characters who have the most at stake this fall.

1) Willow Tait

General Hospital fans have been witnessing Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) getting away with crime, as she enjoys the happy fruits of her sinister plans. While she was found not guilty of shooting Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison), she also manipulated Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) to try to frame her former husband, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), for the crime.
Moreover, she married Drew. Then, she injected him with paralytic drugs and subsequently took his seat in Congress. Unfortunately, her drug supplier, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), was arrested, depleting her supply of the paralytic drug. As a result, Drew walked. Unable to pin him down, Willow asked Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to get some dirt on Michael. Currently, Jack is dead under mysterious circumstances. This leaves Willow with no material to fight Michael. Moreover, past evidence of her crimes in Jack’s Black Box can put Willow’s life and career in jeopardy.
2) Ric Lansing

Ric Lansing's (Rick Hearst) life changed last summer, leading him to want to be a better man. While being held hostage, he realized the importance of family and chose a different way of life, reuniting with his half-brother, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). After years of jealousy and rivalry, the brothers buried the hatchet and joined hands. At the same time, Ric rediscovered his love for his former spouse, Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst).
In a desire to marry and settle down with the good and compassionate Elizabeth, Ric wooed her with dates and expensive art. However, Elizabeth’s growing friendship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is leaving Ric insecure. Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) discouraged his desperate attempt at a strong reaction and convinced him to stay calm and focus on enjoying Liz’s company. Ric is giving that the old college try, but his volatile nature could cost him everything.
3) Valentin Cassadine

After being an international fugitive for over a year before becoming a prisoner and an international fugitive again, Valentin is a free man.
Currently, he is planning a fresh start. He is living in a rental now, but plans to buy back Wyndemere and settle there with Charlotte (Bluesy Burke). He also wants to set up a legitimate business. However, Drew wants to buy the same businesses and may cause trouble for Valentin. At the same time, Jack’s death may cast a shadow over Valentin’s life. Moreover, Charlotte left her bracelet on Jack’s dead body, which may have negative repercussions. This may destroy the plan for a stable life that Valentin was visualizing.
4) Brook Lynn Quartermaine

Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) showed her strength when her husband, Chase, had fertility issues. Later, after Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) was revealed to be her biological son, she reconnected with him through much turmoil. More recently, BLQ and Chase helped a pregnant woman, who later died during childbirth. The couple fostered the baby and have legally adopted Phoebe (Lucia & Luna Creighton).
However, a few months ago, Brook Lynn drove her car on Route 91 in an inebriated condition and may have been the driver who Jordan nearly killed. Her grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) forced her to remain quiet. If Chase discovers that it was Brook Lynn who was the other driver on the night of the accident, he will be furious with her for keeping it a secret. That may blow up further, fueled by Willow, who is trying to ensnare Chase. As a result, Brook Lynn’s dream of a happy family, raising Phoebe together, will be ruined.
5) Sonny Corinthos

For more than 30 years, Sonny Corinthos has been nothing but a mob boss. However, he had toyed with the idea of quitting for since last year. Finally, Sonny walked away from the crime world for good. He plans to buy back his assets, run legal businesses, and lead the life of a civilian.
Unfortunately, Sidwell plans revenge and may operate remotely from prison or plant his stooges around Sonny to derail him. Drew also wants to target Sonny, perceiving him weak as a civilian. If either of them succeeds in taking Sonny down, or lure him back into violence, all his resolve to move to a better life for his family and friends will be lost.
