Currently on General Hospital, we have a variety of characters who could use some advice when it comes to their love lives. Some of the relationships have recently ended, while others are on the verge of becoming serious. Here are five GH characters who need relationship counseling to help them figure things out.
Britt Westbourne

Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) is obviously still struggling after her breakup with Jason (Steve Burton). When she and Lucas (Van Hansis) were drinking wine and talking about the break-up, she proclaimed that she's done with love and romance. She tried to sound somewhat nonchalant about it, but we know how much she's hurting. She always gets the short end of the stick when it comes to romance.
Now that Kevin Collins (Jon Lindstrom) is in Ireland, we need someone else in Port Charles who has a degree in psychiatry or psychotherapy. Perhaps someone who specializes in relationship issues would fit the bill. Goodness knows half the residents of PC need help navigating their love lives. Lucas is a good listener, but Britt needs a professional to help guide her through a discussion about her feelings for Jason and the break-up. Is there a chance they could still work it out?
Even if they don't, then maybe a counselor could try to convince Britt not to give up on love. She has a negative attitude toward it because of everything that happened with Patrick Drake (Jason Thompson) years ago. First, she lost him to Sabrina (Teresa Castillo). Then, Robin (Kimberly McCullough) turned up alive, and she reunited with Patrick. But a counselor could teach Britt the power of positive thinking so she doesn't give up hope.
Jason Morgan

Jason had an awkward moment at the Brown Dog bar when he met with Sonny (Maurice Benard) for drinks and ran into Britt. She was visibly upset and walked away. We're not used to seeing Jason sulk over the demise of a relationship, but maybe he's become more introspective since the torture he suffered in Jakarta.
Surprisingly, Sonny gave him good advice. We didn't think that was possible, considering that he hasn't had the best track record with relationships either. But he advised Jason to be open to the possibility of finding love again with someone else. After all, life is filled with surprises. "You never know what's going to happen," Sonny said. This is pretty much the same advice that Britt needs to hear. Of course, Jason didn't realize that when Sonny said it, he was alluding to his own secret romance with Justine (Nazneen Contractor).
Justine Turner

While Sonny seems to be all in with the romance, Justine fears that if they go public with it, then it may hurt her chances of becoming district attorney. Even though Sonny claims to be done with organized crime, many PC residents will never be able to look past the criminal life he led for years, especially now that everyone will think he ordered the beating at Pentonville.
Justine needs someone else to confide in besides Jordan (Tanisha Harper), since Jordan is her friend and isn't able to view the relationship objectively. Even though Justine and Sonny are taking a huge risk by being involved, she wouldn't have to give away Sonny's identity to a counselor. She could simply say that she's involved with someone who has given up his previous way of life. Perhaps the counselor could help her figure out where she sees this relationship heading. Is it becoming serious, or is it merely a fling?
Harrison Chase

Chase told his new attorney, Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard), that he isn't sure whether he wants a divorce from Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton). She replied that she's a lawyer, not a marriage counselor. Well, perhaps a counselor is exactly what Chase needs right now. Brook Lynn knows she wants to make the marriage work, but he's the uncertain one.
Since Chase has been confiding in Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) every chance he gets, perhaps a counselor could ask him whether he still has feelings for Willow. The reason why he's considering a divorce is the fact that Brook Lynn wasn't honest with him about being the other driver in Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan's (Tanisha Harper) car accident. Maybe a counselor could persuade Chase to do some soul-searching and to be honest with himself about his true feelings for Willow. Does he really view her only as a friend or as something more?
Carly Spencer

When Carly (Laura Wright) visited Lucas, he asked her whether she was in love with Valentin (James Patrick Stuart). She seemed tongue-tied and wasn't sure how to respond. Then, Britt knocked on the door, and Carly was relieved and said, "Saved by the Britt."
Carly and Valentin have been spending a lot of time together, and their relationship has become all comfy and cozy, as he enjoys preparing dinners for her. Fans love their connection. Carly has been a good influence on him, encouraging him to be honest with Lulu (Alexa Havins) about Charlotte's (Bluesy Burke) plan to trap Drew (Cameron Mathison).
But when Lucas asked that all-important question, Carly looked like a deer in headlights. She and Valentin haven't been together very long. But maybe it's been long enough that she needs to ask herself exactly how she feels about him and whether she thinks they could have a future together. A counselor could help her sort through her feelings so that she can figure out how serious she wants the relationship to be.
