5 General Hospital Characters Who Will Be Opposed to a Rocco-Scout Romance

In last Friday's episode of General Hospital, Rocco (Finn Carr) and Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) ended the summer season with their first kiss, which was something we all saw coming, considering their growing closeness. If their friendship turns into romance, then here are five GH characters who may be opposed to it.

Drew Cain

Drew (Cameron Mathison) is the most obvious one on this list, considering that he's out to bring down Sonny (Maurice Benard). Rocco is Sonny's grandson, which means that Drew won't want Scout to spend time with Rocco. Drew is already preventing Scout from seeing her brother, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), because Drew hates Danny's father, Jason (Steve Burton).

Now that Drew is trying to gain control of Sonny's piers, and considering Sonny's criminal history, Drew won't want Scout anywhere near Rocco or any of Sonny's other relatives. Drew will likely warn Scout that spending time with Rocco puts her in possible danger.

Sonny Corinthos

Sonny will become extremely concerned if (or when) Drew targets Rocco. Sonny knows that this is a "guilt by association" type of situation, and Drew will try to keep Scout away from Rocco simply because Rocco is Sonny's grandson. Drew keeps telling Scout that he's trying to keep her safe; however, we all know that his other motivation is spite. He will try to chase Rocco away from Scout for the purpose of spiting Sonny.

The only way the teens will be able to spend time together is if they continue to sneak around behind Drew's back. Sonny will not be happy about that. He knows how hateful Drew can be. Sonny will be livid if Drew takes his hatred toward him out on Rocco, and he will step in and take action against Drew if that happens.

Dante Falconeri

If Rocco and Scout are headed toward a romance, then Drew may start to direct his rage at Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), since he is Rocco's father and Sonny's son. Drew may order Dante to use his parental authority to keep Rocco away from Scout. If Dante refuses, then Drew may start issuing threats. Even though he doesn't have any leverage over Dante, we never know what the GH writers will come up with.

Aside from having to deal with an angry Drew, Dante may have his own personal objections to seeing Rocco and Scout become a couple, considering that Dante and Sam (Kelly Monaco) raised the teens (along with Danny) as a blended family. During that time, Rocco and Scout came to view each other as siblings. Dante may have a hard time adjusting to the fact that Rocco and Scout are older now; they are living in different homes, and they've outgrown their previous sibling connection.

Lulu Spencer

Drew's fury is going to be widespread, and both of Rocco's parents will be affected by it. While Dante may suffer the brunt of it because of his father's mob life, Lulu's motherly instincts will kick into high gear.

Lulu is very protective of Rocco, and she knows that he's already been through enough stress and anxiety this year. She may advise him that perhaps it's in his best interests to keep his distance from Scout for the time being, in order to keep the peace with Drew.

Danny Morgan

Danny may feel uncomfortable about a Rocco and Scout pairing for the same reason Dante may. Danny has viewed Rocco as his brother for the past few years, and he knows that Rocco considered Scout to be his sister since all three kids once lived together. Danny will probably tell Rocco that it feels "weird" to see him and Scout in any kind of relationship besides a sibling one.

This may cause an even greater strain on Danny's relationship with Rocco than there already is. The boys used to be best friends, but they haven't been getting along well lately, ever since Rocco shot Ross Cullum to save Jason's life on Pier 55 and then allowed Jason to take the fall for him. If Rocco and Scout pursue a romance, then Danny's brotherly instincts will surely come into play. He may become very protective of his little sister. He may claim that Rocco is taking advantage of Scout and that she's too young for him.

Whatever happens, we have a dramatic storyline ahead of us. It feels like it has Romeo and Juliet vibes, at least on Scout's end, since Drew will do whatever it takes to keep the teens apart. As we saw with Romeo and Juliet, all parental attempts to separate them only drew them together all the more. We're guessing that's what's going to happen with Rocco and Scout as well. So get ready for lots of tension and conflict to unfold, GH fans!
