5 General Hospital Characters Whose Lives Just Got Much More Complicated

Your General Hospital favorites are going through another round of crises as things get much more complicated in Port Charles. While major mob players like Sonny Corinthos and Jason Morgan decided to move away from the crime world, their families heaved sighs of relief, and their enemies decided to make moves while they were weak.

At the same time, Drew Cain recovered and roped Ava Jerome into targeting Jack Brennan. Unfortunately, Jack died, leading them to bury his body. Drew planted Jack's wallet in Nina's car to frame her. As the WSB looked for their missing station chief, Carly tipped them off about Jack's public argument with Nina. Based on that other evidence, the WSB extradited Nina, leaving her daughter and friends shocked.

1) Nina Reeves

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) collaborated with Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) to save her daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), when she was charged with shootingDrew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Eventually, their partnership developed into a romance as she spared the WSB Chief from being kept paralyzed by Willow. But she helped Willow keep Drew paralyzed and even pushed him into the lake.

After Jack died and Drew buried his body in secret, he planted Jack's wallet in Nina's car to frame her, as part of his revenge plot. Recently, the WSB collected this evidence and extradited Nina in connection with Jack's disappearance and possible murder. With the WSB having powers above federal law enforcement, Nina's future looks bleak.

Willow's mother, Nina, was extradited by the WSB. While the current evidence seems to point at Nina, the congresswoman may soon be questioned. If the WSB looks further, Willow may come under the radar as well. This may pose a risk to her re-election and her political career.

Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) may also look for ways to ruin Willow and take the custody of their children away from her. As such, Willow is leaning heavily on Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard). Drew is out for blood, as well. While Drew and Willow agreed to remain quiet about each other's crimes, the former congressman wants his revenge. With the WSB on one side, Michael on the other, and Drew waiting to take her down, Willow's life is going to get much more complicated.

Detective Harrison Chase believed Willow to be an innocent victim of Michael's cruel actions. As such, he jumped into savior mode and tried to help Willow out of all her troubles. He even risked his career and got demoted as a beat cop. When his insecure wife, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton), tried to frame Willow, Chase chastised her and assured her of his commitment to his family.

On the family front, Chase and BLQ adopted baby Phoebe, hoping to raise her in a loving family. However, Chase now knows Brook Lynn never came forward as "the other driver" and wants a separation. At the same time, he revealed to Willow that his wife had tried to frame her. When Willow's crimes are eventually exposed, Chase will likely have a credibility crisis. He may realize too late how he jeopardized his personal relationships and backed a criminal, ruining his career.

Ava Jerome (Maura West) and Nina have been best friends for years. As such, Nina told Ava about her blossoming romance with Jack, while cautioning her friend about Drew. However, Ava explained how she and Drew were collaborating to take Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) down. However, Ava refrained from informing her friend that Drew had roped her into drugging Jack and that he was later found floating in the pool, dead. Moreover, Ava and Drew have buried Jack's body in the nature reserve by the Q crypt.

Ava was shocked to see Nina arrested by the WSB while they had lunch. When she questioned Drew about it, he gloated about planting Jack's wallet in Nina's car as revenge for all the things Nina has done to him. Ava told Drew exactly how she felt about this, but she also knows if she tries to help Nina, she would implicate herself.

When Michael got the upper hand and learned that Willow shot Drew, he forced Willow to stay at the Quartermaine gatehouse so that the kids can be near him even on the days Willow has them. However, if Willow's crimes get exposed, the kids will be affected as well, something Michael wants to shield them from.

In addition, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) wants Michael's shares at Deception. As such, she has lined up her daughter, Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger), to seduce Michael and get the shares. While focusing on his enemies, Willow and Drew, Michael is in danger of falling victim to Lucy's nefarious attack.
