5 General Hospital Couples Headed for Trouble This Fall

In the wake of the massive cold fusion conspiracy on General Hospital coming to an end with Ross Cullum’s death, Jenz Sidwell’s, arrest and Cassius Faison’s presumed demise, new alliances and breakups threaten Port Charles.

Harrison Chase and Brook Lynn’s steady marriage is under threat, while the young couple, Emma and Gio may face a fizzle for lack of attention. The fallout between Ric and Elizabeth may come from a lack of trust between them. Also, a looming danger may be the cause of a breakup between Trina and Kai. Fall in Port Charles may bring in much drama surrounding romantic couples in town.

5 Couples Whose Relationship May Be in Danger

1) Ric and Elizabeth

Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has rediscovered his love for his former spouse, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). After his harrowing experience as a hostage, Ric realized the importance of family and loved ones. As his transformation took shape, he pursued Liz with dates and flowers.

However, recent weeks have shown Ric jealous of Elizabeth’s mature friendship with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). Although he has tried to remain calm and accept the association, Ric is upset and disturbed by this new development. Since Liz does not like being pushed around in any relationship, if Ric shows any possessiveness, it may destroy his romance before he can even pop the question.

2) Chase and Brook Lynn

For some time now, General Hospital viewers have seen the danger looming on the stable marriage of Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) and Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton). While they navigated issues like Chase’s infertility, revelation about Brook Lynn’s past pregnancy, and Phoebe’s adoption, the couple’s bond now seems to be weakening.

On one hand, Chase showed blind faith and support for his ex-wife, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), while on the other, BLQ called Willow’s attention toward her husband. With the intel about Brook Lynn’s journey on Route 91 being exposed, more trouble may be on the way. Chase will likely be upset about BLQ keeping secrets from him and unburden himself to Willow. This will likely cause more of a rift in the marriage.

As yet, General Hospital fans have seen Emma being patient with Gio’s commitments. However, they may eventually drift apart. To add to their problem, if Emma and Gio find themselves on different sides in situations involving their family elders, such as Emma’s grandmother or Gio’s mother, the lovers may find more reasons to drift apart.

Even though she has been committing much time and effort into her new calling, her boyfriend, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) has been very supportive and encouraging. Their relationship withstood the impact of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) blackmailing Trina’s mother, while Kai worked in Drew’s employment.

However, Trina has an unknown stalker, who is keeping an eye on all her moves. The stalker proceeded to compile a collage of Trina’s images and delete Kai from the photographs. If the criminal's obsession drives him/her to kidnap Kai, he will be in danger. At the same time, Trina may wonder whether Kai bailed out on her over some disagreement.

5) Carly and Valentin

After strategic collaboration and a slow-burn romance, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) and Valentin Cassadine's (James Patrick Stuart) attic affair has developed a committed relationship. This transcends most outside influence and dissent from family and friends. However, two situations may endanger this mature romance in the coming days. The first situation may revolve around Jack Brennan’s (Chris McKenna) disappearance, but there is also another matter.

Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has lured Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) into her trap. When Britt is rescued, if Carly may see how much Valentin still feels for Anna and may become jealous.
