General Hospital's Pentonville violence has taken Port Charles by storm and turned the town against Sonny Corinthos. Although fans know Ava Jerome and Drew Cain were the real masterminds behind the attack on Jenz Sidwell that also left Curtis Ashford injured, more drama is yet to unfold as the authorities move in on Sonny. However, this has left behind some of the promising storylines in limbo. Here are 5 GH plots that are waiting for some forward movement.

5 Stagnant Storylines That Need Movement on General Hospital

1) Does Willow care about Nina's absence?

The last few weeks on General Hospital have been packed with drama. After Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) pushed the wheelchair bound Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) into the lake, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) offered to save her. As Drew recovered and came after his enemies, Jack let the former congressman know that he has dirt him. In response, Drew asked Ava Jerome (Maura West) to drug Jack while he would search for the dirt.

However, Jack died and the two conspirators proceeded to bury him in secret. Additionally, Drew planted Jack's wallet in Nina's car. Based on this and other evidence, the WSB arrested Nina and locked her in Steinmauer. As Nina's lawyer informed Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) about her mother's predicament, the congresswoman was initially distraught. Unfortunately, she seems to have lost the steam to get her mother released. Instead, she is back to targeting her former husband and his family to secure custody of her children.

2) Where is Trina's dreaded stalker?

For the last few months, GH reminded fans that Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) was in trouble. She had a stalker who was shown compiling collages of Trina's photographs. Moreover, the audience saw the unknown person digitally deleting others pictured with Trina in the images. As yet, the identity of the stalker is not revealed. While fans worry about danger befalling Trina or her boyfriend Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup), the story seems to have taken a backseat to the drama involving Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Trina's father Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), who has landed in prison.

Currently, Curtis has been caught in prison violence and is admitted to the hospital, injured. As expected, Trina is caught up in her family troubles again. However, there is no sign of her stalker or any clue about the identity of the secretive person.

3) What happened to Hudson Parker and the JJE plot?

As General Hospital fans know, after the Spoon Island fiasco ended, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) wanted her daughter, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) to quit the WSB. Since Joss refused to comply with her mother's wish, Carly informed Joss's father, Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher), who sent the VP of his company, Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), to Port Charles.

Viewers saw Hudson track Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard) to Europe before approaching Josslyn, offering the post of CEO in her father's company, the JJE. Secretly assigned by the WSB, Josslyn accepted the position and started work, while Hudson tracked Brook Lynn's adoptive baby, Phoebe Chase (Luna and Lucia Creighton). However, for weeks, Hudson's arc has been repetitive with a few appearances with Phoebe, a few with Joss and some mysterious phone calls. As such, this new character in town needs a better storyline.

4) Is Serena's role in the Deception scheme still on?

Just like Hudson, mentioned above, Port Charles recently welcomed Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) to help her mother, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring), reclaim her control over Deception. Lucy urged her daughter to seduce Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) and get his shares for her. Instead, Serena seemed to strike a more balanced rapport with Michael, where they worked on project ideas for the company and chilled out at the pool during leisure hours.

However, Serena's arc with Michael has also become stagnant, as the show is not pursuing it further. While Serena is reconnecting with her brother, Cody Bell (Josh Kelly), Michael is busy plotting Willow's fall. As such, the potential for a romantic drama seems lost at the moment.

5) What is the fate of the Dante, Elizabeth and Ric triangle?

Another interesting soapy storyline has been brewing all year with Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna), Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst). As fans know, Ric and Elizabeth were married in the past, but divorced because of Ric's excessive possessiveness, among other things. Recently, Ric has turned over a new leaf and Elizabeth is enjoying this new version of Ric.

However, Liz has also developed a camaraderie with Dante over medical needs, professional duty, children, and friendly activities, which Ric does not like. While he is trying to show acceptance and support for Elizabeth in her personal life, Ric is worried that Dante may make a romantic move on Liz before he can pop the question. Unfortunately, this slow-building love-triangle is taking a long time to weave its tension and drama. Moreover, the current scenario has each of the characters caught up in other issues, and the triangle is not building to its full potential.
