Now that the body of General Hospital's Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) has been discovered and the story is finally moving along, we're thinking back on some GH stories that have been inexplicably dropped. Will they return in the future, or have we seen the last of them? Here are five stories that have been dropped for no apparent reason.

Charlotte's crush on Gio

This past summer, when the Port Charles residents were spending time at the Metro Court pool, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) was clearly attracted to Gio (Giovanni Mazza). She stared at him while he and Emma (Braedyn Bruner) were hanging out together. We could see that she was jealous.

GH fans were concerned about the potentially dangerous repercussions of her crush, given that Charlotte is the granddaughter of GH supervillain Helena Cassadine (Constance Towers). We were afraid that she might do something harmful to Emma to get her out of the way.

Thankfully for Emma, though, nothing more became of Charlotte's crush. It could have made for an interesting storyline among the younger set of characters, especially since there are no other young men on the canvas for Charlotte. Rocco (Finn Carr) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) are both her relatives.

The mysterious reports that Jack asked Tristan about

At the end of July, we had a cryptic scene between Jack and Tristan (Dean Geyer). Jack visited Tristan in the hospital and asked how he was settling into his new life as a surgeon in PC. Tristan was ill at ease and he told him that he was trying to start anew, and he didn't want anyone from the WSB to visit him at GH.

Jack then asked him, "And your reports?" Tristan replied that when he had something to report, then that's when he would report it.

Jack has been dead since Labor Day, and we still don't know what reports he was referring to. Do they have anything to do with his death? Are we still going to learn more about them at a later date?

Jason's nightmares when he returned from Jakarta

When Jason (Steve Burton) flew home from Jakarta, he flashed back to his time in prison. He was manhandled by the guard, and he was trembling on the floor of his cell. We heard his cries of fear. We saw the bruises on his face. It was clear that he'd been tortured. He couldn't even take a nap on the plane without suffering from nightmares. He woke up startled and panting.

That was in July. It looked like we were headed for a powerful PTSD storyline for Jason, but since then, nothing more has come of his nightmares and flashbacks. We now have a therapist at GH, Dr. Nichols (Kearran Giovanni), who has been treating Anna (Finola Hughes). Perhaps Jason could be another one of her patients.

It feels like we're missing an awesome opportunity to see him confide in someone about the horrors he endured in prison. If he doesn't feel comfortable opening up to Dr. Nichols, then maybe he could talk to his two dearest friends, Sonny (Maurice Benard) and Carly (Laura Wright). Another good option is Tracy, now that she and Jason have forged a close bond. It might help to bring him closure so that he can be a better father to Danny.

Drew originally wanted revenge on Willow

After Drew (Cameron Mathison) started walking and talking again, he made it clear that he was going to seek revenge on Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) for shooting him and paralyzing him for months. He even visited her office and threatened her. He's already gotten his revenge on Nina (Cynthia Watros) for pushing him in the lake when he was in a wheelchair. So, why hasn't he made good on his threat to make Willow pay, too?

He has the perfect opportunity to do that by simply confirming everything Sidwell (Carlo Rota) said when Lulu (Alexa Havins) interviewed him. But instead, Drew is letting Willow off the hook and denying the statements in Lulu's article, and the only reason is because he doesn't want to give the Quartermaines the satisfaction. He said it would be like giving them a "gift."

Did Drew really lose all his desire for revenge against the person who shot him and paralyzed him? Or is he still planning to go after Willow, but in a different way?

Britt never shared the near-shooting experience with her family

After Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) was nearly shot by Anna, she was shaken up and hurt that she wasn't getting much support from her co-workers or anyone else. But since then, she hasn't told anyone in her family about the incident.

Now that she's become chummy with Willow, why hasn't she told her what happened to her? Willow isn't a close friend of Anna's, so she would likely be sympathetic to Britt.

Furthermore, why hasn't Britt told her own mother, Liesl (Kathleen Gati), what Anna did? Liesl would want to know about it, especially since Britt is the only living child she has left. If Britt tells Liesl, then will Liesl retaliate against Anna for nearly killing her daughter?

We've missed out on what could be some great, soapy drama. We saw how furious Liesl was with Britt a year ago, after she learned that Britt had faked her death, because she didn't want Liesl to see her waste away from Huntington's Disease (which Britt thought she had at the time). Liesl even slapped Britt for letting her think she was dead. Imagine how much angrier Liesl would be if she knew what Anna did to Britt. But unfortunately, Britt never said a word to Liesl about it.

Are there any other dropped GH stories that you would like to see return? Sound off in the comments.
