5 General Hospital Storylines That Are Dragging on Too Long

While we have some General Hospital storylines that are just beginning to play out, we've been watching some others drag on for months. Some of those latter storylines are badly in need of resolution. Here are five GH storylines that have been dragging on too long.

Will Anna Finally be Able to Reclaim Her Sanity?

GH fans are tired of watching Anna's (Finola Hughes) mental health deteriorate ever since she was kidnapped on Halloween nearly a year ago. After being tormented by her kidnapper, Pascal (Marc Forget), into believing that Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) was alive, Anna started hallucinating Peter August (Wes Ramsey).

For months, we watched Peter drive Anna even further out of her mind as he continually ordered her to kill Cesar's daughter, Britt (Kelly Thiebaud). Thankfully, that didn't happen, and Anna has finally realized that she needs psychiatric help. But is this really the end? Britt doesn't feel safe. She is terrified that Anna may continue to target her.

Fans miss the strong-willed Anna Devane we've come to love since she arrived in Port Charles in 1985. Now that she's been assigned a therapist, Dr. Nichols (Kierran Giovanni), at least we're finally seeing some light at the end of the tunnel for Anna. But will she truly heal from all of the psychological scars that Pascal, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), and her hallucinations of Faison and Peter inflicted on her? We certainly hope so.

Will the Aftermath of the Car Crash Ever Come to an End?

The car crash storyline has been going on since April. Curtis (Donnell Turner) and Jordan (Tanisha Harper) caused the crash because they were kissing and Jordan took her eyes off the road. Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson) happened to be driving on route 91 that night and Curtis punched him, thinking Isaiah was the other driver.

Now that Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) finally admitted that she was the driver, half the people in PC are furious at her (even though Jordan almost killed her, not the other way around).

Fans just want this storyline to be over and done with. Curtis is in prison because he belongs there, case closed. He should have kept his temper under control, as Tracy (Jane Elliot) wisely pointed out. Because he didn't, Isaiah's hand is injured and he is no longer able to perform surgery, for now. But this is soap land, where miracles happen all the time. We only wish that all of the parties involved would extend Brook Lynn some kindness and forgiveness for keeping quiet. Most of the other PC residents have done much worse than she did.

Where is Dante and Elizabeth's Friendship Headed?

The friendship between Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) has been building since late February. That means the burning question of "What's going on with these two?" has been on our minds for over six months. Liz is dating Ric (Rick Hearst), who isn't thrilled that she's been besties with Dante, who happens to be Ric's nephew. But it's only an innocent friendship. Or is it?

We don't always get to see Liz or Dante in a love triangle, and they are cute together. They always support each other, and they care about what's going on in each other's lives. So if we're headed for a Ric/Liz/Dante triangle, then it would be nice if we could see some forward movement in the storyline.

What makes this storyline interesting is that it feels somewhat like a 2.0 version of Drew (Cameron Mathison), Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), and Michael (then played by Chad Duell). In that triangle, though, Drew stole his nephew's woman. With Dante, Liz, and Ric, it's the reverse. If Dante pursues Liz, then he would be going after his uncle's woman.

When Will Willow Finally Get her Comeuppance?

Many GH fans are starting to wonder whether Willow will ever be exposed as Drew's shooter. She's gotten away with it for so many months that now she's even acting as PC's very own congresswoman and she's living in the gatehouse on the Quartermaine premises again.

How many more months will we have to endure Chase (Josh Swickard) chasing (pun intended) after Willow and believing everything she tells him? Is Michael (Rory Gibson) really so dim-witted that he's allowing an attempted murderer to co-parent Wiley (Viron Weaver) and Amelia? We thought he was smarter than that.

We want Willow to get what's coming to her. Is that ever going to happen? All we can say is, whatever revenge plan Drew has in store for her, let's hope it's a doozy.

Who is the Mystery Caller Hudson Has Been Phoning?

For almost two months, we've seen Hudson (Troy Lennon Appel) call an unknown person to update him or her about Hudson's interactions with Joss (Eden McCoy) and Carly (Laura Wright). Who is the mystery person and what is that person's involvement with JJE?

Some fans speculate that the person is Jerry Jacks (Sebastian Roche), Jasper Jacks' (Ingo Rademacher) serial killer brother. That would make sense, considering that the Jacks brothers have always been at war with each other. Whoever the mystery person is, we know that Hudson is a shadowy character who is also connected to baby Phoebe. Perhaps Brook Lynn should wonder why he's been paying Phoebe so much attention. Is he her biological father?

And why did Hudson pop out from behind the gatehouse the minute Chase left Willow? Is he going to blab to Brook Lynn that her husband visited Willow in the middle of the night? Everything about this guy screams shady, but the shadiest tidbit of all is the mystery person he keeps calling. Is this person about to turn Joss' life upside down? We have a feeling that's exactly what's going to happen.
