5 GH Characters Brook Lynn Can Turn to Now That She’s Been Accused of Being ‘The Other Driver’

An unfortunate situation is staring General Hospital's Brook Lynn in the face. Harrison Chase coerced Lucy Coe into revealing the truth about Brook Lynn’s journey on Route 91 on the fateful night of Jordan Ashford’s car crash.

Curtis Ashford and the PCPD search for “the other driver," who did not stop to help Jordan and Curtis, led Curtis to believe it was Isaiah Gannon. Curtis then attacked the doctor, injuring him. Found guilty of assault, Curtis was sentenced to ten years of prison time.

However, Chaes finally realized that Brook Lynn was also on the same road that night. As such, Chase confronted BLQ for keeping this a secret and wondered if she had reasons to do so. As Trina overheard the couple’s conversation, she jumped to the conclusion that Brook Lynn was likely “the other driver” Curtis was looking for. Trina accused BLQ of keeping this a secret and letting her father make incorrect judgments. With this, Brook Lynn is bound to come under fire, but who will stand by her side?

1) Tracy Quartermaine

Fans may remember, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) had a glass or two of wine when she drove on Route 91 to watch her son perform on stage. It was Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) who discovered the scratched car and sent it for repair. Later, when BLQ heard about Jordan’s car crash and the wide search for the other car, she worried whether it was her.

However, Tracy firmly stopped Brook Lynn from coming forward and implicating herself when the truth was not known. In the many weeks that followed, BLQ has had pangs of guilt about remaining quiet about her presence on the road that fateful night. However, Tracy made her realize that Brook Lynn cannot afford to give up her baby, her husband and her family. Now, when many point fingers at BLQ, Tracy will likely defend her and support her.

2) Michael Corinthos

Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) is very close to his cousin Brook Lynn and has been privy to many of her secrets. While he knows that Brook Lynn tried to frame his former wife as another driver on Route 91, he has also suspected that Brook Lynn drove to Charlie's that niht.

Since he is a Quartermaine and the family sticks by one another, expect Michael to be protective of his family, including Brook Lynn, Michael may stand by her and shield her from accusations. With his leadership qualities, he may guide the rest of the family to stay together.

3) Gio Palmieri

It has been just over a year since Gio Palmieri (Giovanni Mazza) learned that Brook Lynn is his biological mother. After months of agony, the two have reconciled and BLQ has re-introduced music into Gio’s life. Currently, under Brook Lynn’s guidance, Gio is playing music for a recording label along with Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali). He is also busy babysitting his new adoptive sister, Phoebe.

Although Gio shares a close friendship with Trina, he may be shocked when Trina lets loose on BLQ for keeping the Route 91 situation a secret. Trina may accuse BLQ of letting Curtis make wrong judgments and decisions. This may offend Gio and he may jump to his mother’s defense, at the cost of a ruined friendship.

4) Sonny Corinthos

Brook Lynn has shared a great rapport with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) since childhood. Because of her mother’s childhood friendship with Sonny, she sees him as an uncle figure. Moreover, Sonny has often lent her a patient ear and a supportive shoulder to lean on when in trouble. He has also given sound advice to Brook Lynn to navigate her issues.

As such, in her current situation, Brook Lynn may have very few people she can turn to for help. Sonny can be one such dependable Port Charles resident who will aid and steer BLQ in the right direction, when no one else would.

After working together at Deception the last few years, Brook Lynn trusted Lucy to help frame Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) when the latter started making covert advances on BLQ’s husband. In return, Lucy demanded that Brook Lynn hand over her Deception shares, which the latter did.

Since Lucy is deeply entangled in the Willow-framing situation and has also acquired shares for her effort, she may feel morally loyal towards BLQ. Moreover, after being cornered for lying to the police, Lucy’s reputation and freedom may be on the line. As such, she may remain aligned with Brook Lynn, as their fates are tied.
