WSB Director Ross Cullum is causing havoc in the GH storyline after he was shot in the back. While his department arrested and deported Jason Morgan after the latter admitted to the crime, Cullum realized that Jason took the fall to protect someone. As such, he zeroed in on Jason’s son, Danny Morgan, as the culprit.
However, he overheard Britt and Rocco’s conversation and discovered that the latter was his shooter. At the same time, he withheld Britt’s Huntington’s medication to push her work forward. Meanwhile, Britt and Rocco escaped. With a town full of enemies who want to finish Cullum and his evil actions, only a few may actually be capable of doing so.
5 characters who may bring down Cullum’s run on GH
1) Valentin Cassadine

The former WSB agent, Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart), has insider knowledge of how dangerous Director Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) is. While he is a fugitive himself and is hiding at Carly’s (Laura Wright) place, he knows that Cullum targeted Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).
Recent GH episodes showed that Cullum pointed a gun at Valentin’s daughter, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke), and Jason’s son, Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), believing the latter to be his shooter. The teenagers were let go at Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) insistence. When Valentin learns how Cullum tried to harm his daughter, the protective father may decide Cullum needs to be stopped permanently.
2) Jason Morgan

Just like Valentin, Jason is also a loving father. While he has taken the fall for Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), he may not like the fact that Cullum tried to harm his son. Although Jason is being held by the WSB in Jakarta, if he gets a whiff of Cullum’s move on Danny, Jason will pull all strings to secure his release.
When out of custody, Jason has the means and the capability to take down the corrupt WSB Director. Whether he can use Brick (Stephen A. Smith) or other international resources to help him break out of prison to eliminate Cullum remains to be seen.
3) Jenz Sidwell

So far, Sidwell is unaware of his son’s killer and is grieving Marco’s (Adrian Anchondo) death. As GH fans know, the mobster is actively looking for the murderer and believes Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) ordered it. Only a few Port Charles residents, including Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), Pascal (Marc Forget), and Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), know that Cullum played the central role in the ghastly murder.
While Lucas and Pascal have decided not to disclose the truth to Sidwell, the latter will inevitably learn about it later. When Sidwell learns that his partner, Cullum, killed his son, the consequences will be disastrous. Sidwell will likely never forgive this betrayal and may eliminate Cullum.
4) Josslyn Jacks

As GH viewers have witnessed for some time, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has been doing her ground-level sleuthing after Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) deactivated her agent status to protect her. The restless sleeper agent dug around for intel on Faison and landed in captivity.
While her captor, Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey), claimed to keep her safe from Cullum, Josslyn knows too much about the cold project, Britt’s compulsion, and the WSB Director’s involvement in the secret project. As such, when she manages to break free, she will try to target Cullum and take him down. Whether she gets any assistance from Cassius remains to be seen.
5) Sonny Corinthos

As GH fans already know, Sidwell arrived in Port Charles to take down Sonny and take over his business. As such, Sonny and Sidwell are enemies. However, Sidwell is also hand-in-glove with Cullum as he is sponsoring Faison’s cold fusion project that Cullum is invested in. While Sonny is aware of Faison’s project and everyone involved in it, his prime target will continue to be Sidwell.
As the recent episode from Friday, May 22, 2026, showed, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) suggested to Sonny that they take down Sidwell and put the Dalton episode behind them. At the same time, Britt informed Sonny that Sidwell had killed Professor Henry Dalton (Daniel Goddard) and blackmailed Laura. Armed with this information and more, Sonny may make his move on Sidwell and take down the mobster along with the latter’s partner, Cullum.
5 GH characters who will be unable to finish Cullum
1) Dante Falconeri

As GH fans know, Commissioner Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) is worried about Rocco’s situation and wants to do everything to save his son from Cullum’s fury. As such, he concealed evidence of the shooting from Cullum. However, he is a traditional cop who follows the rules and will continue to feel guilty for being unethical.
While he may sit on the evidence connecting Rocco with Cullum, Dante will likely not do anything unprofessional or improper. He will likely wait for the right evidence to crop up to arrest Cullum, even when he knows that the WSB Director is corrupt.
2) Laura Collins

Just like Dante, Mayor Laura Collins holds an important constitutional post. As such, she will likely not take any irresponsible steps. While she may want to save her family and other Port Charles residents from the mob clash and Cullum’s unlawful actions, she may go by the book.
When it comes to Cullum’s ally, Sidwell, fans know how Laura got blackmailed by the mobster into granting him Sonny’s piers and a helipad. While she wants Sonny to take Sidwell down, she realizes WSB Director Cullum may be a tougher enemy to challenge.
3) Jordan Ashford

GH viewers already know that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) entered Sidwell’s employment undercover to get dirt on the mobster to charge him with. During her association with him, Jordan met Cullum many times. She might have picked up cues pointing to his corruption. As a former DEA agent, she could have been able to arrange a takedown of the WSB boss.
However, Jordan met with an accident that left her face disfigured and her confidence shaken. To add to her problems, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) is fixated on framing Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) for the accident. The two men had a scuffle, leaving Isaiah with a broken hand and Curtis with a police case against him. These distractions are likely to keep Jordan too busy to focus on Sidwell and Cullum.
4) Lucas Jones

As mentioned before, Lucas Jones is one of the few who knows that Marco’s real killer is Cullum. He and Pascal blame each other for indirectly creating the situations leading to Marco’s death. So far, they have not shared their suspicions with anyone. If they inform the authorities about all they know, they may help bring down Cullum.
As Lucas pointed out to Pascal, Sidwell does not know that Marco was stealing Britt’s drugs to help Lucas hand them over to the doctor. Also, Pascal ratted this out to Cullum, hoping that the latter would kill Lucas. However, an enraged Cullum stabbed Marco to death. Unfortunately, Lucas and Pascal cannot reveal Cullum’s crime to Sidwell without disclosing their own roles in the sequence of events. As such, they will stay quiet.
5) Jack Brennan

For the past many weeks, Jack Brennan was investigating Cullum’s actions and looking for dirt on him. The WSB Chief was suspicious of the Director and had many reasons to mistrust his boss. Given the right opportunity, Brennan might have tried to take down his boss.
However, Brennan is currently in a locked-in state after Nina (Cynthia Watros) injected him with the drugs supplied by Sidwell, and Cullum recognizes the symptoms. As such, Brennan cannot do much to harm his superior even if he wants to.
