The gripping GH storyline around the cold fusion project has come to an end, albeit grisly. WSB fugitive, Valentin Cassadine, and WSB prisoner, Jason Morgan, have been released with all charges dropped on a special deal with Agent Josslyn Jacks. With Valentin back in town, his relationship with many people is slated to change. While he may meet Charlotte freely, Carly may have less of a hold over him.

Although he owes his freedom to Josslyn, she wants him out of her mother’s life and is actively pushing him into Anna’s arms. Moreover, as a Cassadine, Valentin has had old enemies who may resurface now that he is in Port Charles. However, apart from his usual support system, he may find some surprising allies on the way.

1) Josslyn Jacks

As fans have recently witnessed, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) negotiated with WSB’s Z (John Oliver) to get Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) exonerated of all charges. When a free Valentin visited the hospital to thank her, Josslyn claimed to have done this for her mother’s happiness.

However, Josslyn declared to her boss that she sent Valentin to the latter’s former lover, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) to push him away from her mother. Josslyn has made no bones about disliking Valentin. While maintaining civility for her mother’s sake, Josslyn may resort to all covert methods to take down Valentin and destroy him.

2) Jack Brennan

Valentin has known Jack Brennan (now played by Chris McKenna) for many years. They were former colleagues in WSB and Pikeman Group. However, they had a fallout and became rivals. After Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) reached out to Valentin to take down Brennan, while Carly and Valentin fell in love, Brennan was offended. They briefly reconciled to take the rogue agent, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), down.

Carly and the above-mentioned prior rivalry make Brennan Valentin’s prime enemy. As such, he may collaborate with his junior, Josslyn, to overthrow Valentin from Carly’s life and win the latter over.

3) Sonny Corinthos

Mob boss Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) has had a rivalry with Valentin. In the past, the latter had tweaked Sonny’s bipolar meds and caused much chaos. To add to that, the Cassadines have a history of enmity with the Corinthos.

Moreover, just like Josslyn, Sonny does not like Carly and Valentin’s closeness. As such, he may take Brick’s help to push them apart. He may rake up past cases or create new hurdles in the path of the Carly-Valentin romance.

4) Nina Reeves

As longtime fans know, Nina Reeves (now played by Cynthia Watros) had a romantic relationship with Valentin in the past. However, differences of opinion, secrets, and lies destroyed their marriage. Even then, on Nina’s summons, Valentin visited her, where he and Brennan had a brawl, leaving the latter in a med-induced stroke.

However, Nina’s loyalties have changed in recent times. Currently, Nina’s world revolves around her daughter Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen). Since Willow is expecting help from Brennan about her husband, Nina’s loyalties are towards Brennan. And since Brennan considers Valentin a rival, the latter will be Nina’s enemy.

The nasty bone of contention between Valentin and Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins Bruening) is about their daughter, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke). Since Charlotte returned to town, Lulu has been keeping a firm hold on her daughter, fearing Valentin’s influence on the teenager. Moreover, she tried her best to keep Charlotte from Valentin, although Carly helped the teenager meet her fugitive father.

Recent storylines saw Charlotte standing up to her mother and choosing to live with her father. Currently, Charlotte is happy to reunite with Valentin, who is freed of all charges. However, Lulu does not want to leave Charlotte in Valentin’s care. As such, she may fight tooth and nail to uproot Valentin from Charlotte’s life.

1) Charlotte Cassadine

The fact that Charlotte will support and side with Valentin is a no-brainer. Not only are they biologically related, but Valentin has also been a loving and dedicated father. He raised Charlotte with affection and care through his various romantic relationships and even when he skipped town with her.

As Charlotte claimed, her father trusts her, unlike her mother, and the two share a good rapport. Expectedly, she wants to live with her father and not with the other strict parent. As such, she will stand strong by her father’s side.

2) Anna Devane

Longtime viewers know that Anna Devane was in a close romantic relationship with Valentin. Although her relationship with Charlotte faced initial hiccups, she eventually came to love the little girl. She risked her career and reputation to help Valentin flee Port Charles with a younger Charlotte.

Although Anna has returned to town in a broken condition with mental health issues, she is happy to meet Valentin after a long time, as is her former boyfriend. Whether they reunite romantically or not, Anna will continue to have Valentin’s back.

Valentin’s relationship with Carly Spencer is comparatively recent. Since Carly has been close to Sonny, she and Valentin were in enemy camps. However, when Carly learnt about her boyfriend, Brennan’s lies and secretly hiring Josslyn to WSB, she reached out to Valentin to help take revenge on Brennan. Later, she hid Valentin in her attic, and they became friends.

Carly and Valentin’s proximity brought out romantic feelings, and they started dating secretly. Eventually, Carly felt genuine love for Valentin. Although Josslyn and Brennan are trying to push Valentin away from her and are inciting jealousy towards Anna, Carly may continue to stand up for Valentin.

4) Dante Falconeri

In an unexpected twist, Valentin may find Dante rooting for his stay in Port Charles. While, as a law enforcer and a clean cop, Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna) has been looking to arrest Valentin for his Pikeman Group connections. From his point of view, Valentin escaped prison and hid in town as a fugitive, although all charges against Valentin have been dropped.

Dante may not consider Valentin a safe connection for his family. If Valentin is forced out of town, Charlotte will come to stay with Lulu. While Lulu is fighting to keep both her children with her together, raising Charlotte alongside Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), Dante considers Charlotte a bad influence for Rocco. As such, he may actively work towards keeping Valentin in town and Charlotte in his custody.

5) Drew Cain

In the past, Valentin and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) had disagreements over ELQ, before the latter changed his career towards political ambitions. Currently, Drew is in a dire condition where his wife is keeping him in a medicine-induced locked-in condition. Moreover, Willow is slated to receive intel from Brennan that may help her to ruin Drew.

In such a situation, Drew may look for an ally to stop Willow and Brennan’s nefarious plan. As such, his best bet might be Brennan’s rival, Valentin. The former congressman may reach out to Valentin and ask for help. If Valentin agrees to help Drew, the latter will be grateful and return the favor in the uture.
