Jason Morgan and Britt Westbourne have reunited, delighting their General Hospital fans. While their obstacles seem to be in the past, they face a new set of challenges from people who may not want to see them together or may want to disrupt their lives in other ways.

1) Josslyn Jacks

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) loves Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) like a daughter and she's loved him as her mom's best friend her whole life. However, she doesn't feel the same way about Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud). When Josslyn asked Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) too many questions, it resulted in Cassius kidnapping Josslyn, and the latter getting shot by Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes).

The experience has soured Josslyn’s feelings for Britt, even though Britt saved her from Heather Webber three years ago. As such, she warned Jason against trusting Britt, fearing that the latter would eventually backstab Jason. While Britt explained her actions honestly, Jason claimed to have faith in her. However, with Josslyn’s bitterness not likely to die down, she will likely watch Britt for any misstep.

Jason has quit mob to focus on his son Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn). Since his mother’s death in October 2024, Danny has needed the presence of his other parent. Jason’s arrests and his perilous job as a henchman impacts Danny negatively. Now, Jason is planning to prioritize his son.

However, Danny’s friendship with his bestie, Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), has taken a nasty turn after it was revealed that Jason took the fall for Rocco’s crime. While Jason was arrested, leaving Danny distressed, Rocco remained quiet. In the latter’s traumatic situation, Britt helped him skip town. As such, Danny sees Britt as Rocco’s enabler and his enemy. His dislike for Britt may affect Jason’s romance, as Danny may express his aversion to this relationship.

While Britt and Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) have never been friends in the past, Anna shares a trustworthy rapport with Jason. As GH viewers know, Anna has recently returned to town after being psychologically broken by Cullum’s machinations using Anna’s traumatic past with Faison.

While Anna is feigning normalcy, she continues to hallucinate her nephew, and Faison’s evil son, the deceased Peter August (Wes Ramsey). The illusory Peter has swayed Anna against Faison’s daughter, Britt, painting her as a villain waiting to harm Anna’s family. The apparition is pushing Anna to eliminate Britt and save herself. If a delusional Anna attacks Britt or tries to take her hostage, it will likely cause problems for Jason’s romance. The former hitman may need to act in urgency to secure all-round safety.

In the past, Britt has earned much hatred by treating people rudely. This annoyed many Port Charles residents. While Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) was not one of them, the Quartermaine matriarch is very possessive of Jason.

She may not be pleased to know that Jason is dating Cesar Faison's daughter. Moreover, as mentioned before, Britt has irked many people through the years with her "Britch" attitude. As such, Tracy may unleash her caustic remarks about this pairing of Jason and Britt, and ask Jason to break away.

Britt’s mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) who is an accomplished doctor herself worked closely with Faison before breaking free from his evil charm. Since then, she faced social stigma that Britt faced. While empathizing with her daughter, Liesl holds Britt completely accountable for her actions and has high expectations from her brilliant daughter.

As such, Liesl will want Britt to focus on her medical career without distractions, now that the latter has got a second chance without the fear of Huntington’s hanging over her. Liesl has never approved of Jason's mob life. With Jason exiting the mob, she ought to be relieved. However, Liesl may not believe that Jason can let go of his instincts. As such, Liesl may worry that Britt’s life will continue to be in danger, something a mother would not appreciate.
