5 GH Characters Who Might Pay if Willow Pokes the Bear on Drew's Shooting

In an over-confident move, General Hospital's Willow Tait is planning to reopen the case involving Drew Cain’s shooting at his house. At that time, Drew was the sitting congressman from Port Charles, making his case a high-profile cold case for the newly-returned Commissioner Anna Devane.

While fans know that Willow was the shooter, she seems secure about the deal she arranged with Drew to remain quiet about one another’s crimes. As such, Drew will likely not expose Willow’s role in his shooting.

However, Drew is not the only person privy to this truth. Others aware of what Willow did include, Willow’s mother, Nina, her official staffer, Kai, and his girlfriend, Trina. With dogged Anna not likely to let this die down if she takes up the case, more people other than Willow’s actual target, her former husband, Michael Corinthos, will get hurt.

As GH viewers know, Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) was not aware of the extent of crimes her daughter, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) was involved in. However, Willow turned her into an accomplice in keeping Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) locked-in with paralytic drugs. Nina was also involved in tampering with evidence that showed Willow in the crime location at the time of Drew’s shooting.

If Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) gets onboard with the case, she would not let this cold case go back into the files. As the meticulous cop digs out all evidence, facts, and data connected to the case, Nina may become a suspect again.

As mentioned before, Nina wanted to help Willow by interfering with the evidence showing Willow near Drew’s house during the shooting. Since the evidence would have pointed clearly at Willow as the shooter, Nina enlisted the help of WSB chief, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) in removing the incriminating factor from the stack of evidence. This left PCPD and DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) baffled.

As the WSB chief, Brennan was successful in burying the proof, tilting the verdict in favor of Willow. If Anna starts digging, she may find that Brennan had a hand in the disappearance of the vital material. This would jeopardize his WSB career and his social standing.

3) Kai Taylor

GH viewers may remember, Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) were hidden in Drew’s bedroom when the congressman was shot in his living room. While they did not see the culprit, they figured it out with the help of Willow’s ringtone for Wiley. However, they deemed it safe to remain quiet about their trespassing and only let attorney Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) know. However, inadvertently, Trina let it out to Willow that they suspected her. Despite realizing this, Willow decided to employ Kai in her office to keep the enemy close.

When Anna starts looking into the case, she may unearth Kai and Trina’s presence at the house. This may expose their secret and ruin Kai’s career at the congress office as well as his reputation as an athlete. Whether that will affect Trina’s budding musical career remains to be seen.

4) Harrison Chase

Fans have seen cop Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) sympathize with and support Willow through all her problems. While he believed Willow didn't shoot Drew, he also presumed that Michael was the real shooter. Based on his presumptions, Chase inadvertantly went about helping Willow frame Michael for the crime. As such, Justine Turner and the PCPD had him demoted to a beat cop.

As yet Chase is unaware that Willow really is the culprit. When the case is reopened, Chase may get called in again for helping Willow out of the way, even ignoring official protocol. While this would put his efficiency as a cop under the radar once again, he may be devastated to learn the real identity of the shooter.
