It's finally happened. General Hospital's Jason has broken glass in case of emergency and quit the mob. It felt like his bromance with Sonny was over as they said their tear-filled goodbyes, forgetting that they can still hang out at any time; they just won't be working together anymore.
But that means after 30 years, Jason is now unemployed. Being a Quartermaine and a (former) mobster means Jason is by no means poor and doesn't really have to work, but he might get bored now that he has hung up his hitman hat. What is Jason Quartermorgan to do now that he has so much time on his hands?
Pre-Med Student

While we know this is not exactly a paid position, it's still...a job. And it would bring Jason (Steve Burton) right back to his roots. Before the accident that turned him into a hitman while he was in college, Jason was a pre-med student, ready to follow in his parents' footsteps.
If Jason decided to be a 50-something-year-old man who chose to return to college and medical school, he would do Alan (Stuart Damon) and Monica (Leslie Charleson) proud. He could even work with Britt (Kelly Thiebaud), so it would be a win-win. (Maybe.) Jason's stone-cold bedside manner could even rival Britt's britchiness.
ELQ Executive

Along the lines of pre-med student, Jason could go even further back to those Q roots. After all, he even lives in the house now and attends family meetings. If he hadn't chosen to go into medicine during his younger years and AJ hadn't crashed into a tree, Jason would have ended up as CEO of ELQ.
Imagine Carly's (Laura Wright) pride watching Jason and Michael (Rory Gibson) run ELQ together. They could even add Aurora in as part of the package, considering that Drew (Cameron Mathison) thought he was Jason when he started the company.
Legitimate Coffee Importer

Jason has been taking inventory at the Corinthos Coffee warehouse for the last two years, always with a clipboard in his hand. With Jason leaving the mob and owing a large part of that company, he can always take the company legit and keep counting those coffee beans and cash.
Jason already has the job down pat, so why not continue doing what he's been doing for a stress-free kind of life? Plus, it will be like working for Sonny (Maurice Benard) again without all the murder.
Bartender at Charlie's

With Kristina (Kate Mansi) gone and Charlie's undergoing several makeovers over the last year or so, someone has to keep the business going. Since so many people come to strong and often silent Jason for advice, bartender would be the perfect position. He would make sure nobody drives drunk and everyone leaves Charlie's headed in the right life direction.
Sonny owns the place, so that means he and Sonny could still work together, just like at the coffee warehouse.
Private Investigator

After all the years working for Sonny as a criminal, Jason has developed some pretty sharp investigative skills. He can always put them to use on the legit side of life by opening up his own private investigation firm. Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) could even become his partner one day and they would do Sam (Kelly Monaco) proud, so bring it on.
