Since General Hospital's Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard) first appeared in Port Charles a few weeks ago, her presence raised some questions about her true motives. In just the past three weeks, we've seen her interact with quite a few characters, which raises some new questions about Monet. Here are five brand-new questions we have about her.
Why is she hellbent on freeing Curtis?

Curtis (Donnell Turner) has already been found guilty and sentenced for assaulting Isaiah (Sawandi Wilson). Monet is awfully eager to overturn the conviction and set Curtis free from prison. Why is she fighting so hard for his freedom?
Martin (Michael E. Knight) was his previous lawyer, the one who lost the case when it went to trial. Monet told Curtis that Martin missed an important detail in the case, something that might have gotten Curtis acquitted. Why is she trying to make Martin look like an incompetent attorney? Does she happen to know him? Is she carrying a grudge against him, by any chance? Maybe Curtis should have called Martin and at least talked to him before he went ahead and hired a new lawyer who came from out of nowhere and approached him in his hospital room.
Furthermore, why did Monet want Curtis to know that she is Jordan's (Tanisha Harper) sister? How did she even know about Curtis' connection to Jordan? Many missing puzzle pieces are making Monet a woman of mystery!
Will Curtis and Monet grow closer if Jordan and Michael grow closer?

Now that Jordan is on a plane to Germany with Michael (Rory Gibson), the two of them are going to be spending time alone together for an indefinite amount of time. He's going to be supporting her through any anxiety she may feel regarding the surgery to remove her scars.
The two friends have bonded over the fact that they've both suffered from a harrowing incident where they ended up scarred. Michael stayed in the German clinic for months after he was severely burned from the explosion in Sonny's (Maurice Benard) apartment. Jordan was scarred as a result of her car accident.
This bond may draw Michael and Jordan closer together over time. Will Curtis then grow closer to Monet? If that's what happens, then things are about to get very messy for all four people involved.
Will Stella dig up dirt on Monet?

Stella (Vernee Watson-Johnson) met Monet very briefly, but she already doesn't trust her. "If you really are Jordan's sister and no one's ever heard of you, then you can't be up to anything good," Stella concluded.
Apparently, no one wants to bother calling Jordan to ask her whether she really does have a sister named Monet. And maybe Stella could take a photo of Monet and send it to Jordan. That's all it would take to clear up the confusion and confirm that Monet isn't lying to everyone.
Still, we applaud Stella for being so protective of her family. Curtis even smiled about it when she escorted Monet out of his room. Since Stella already distrusts her, is there any chance that she will snoop into Monet's past and dig up some dirt on her? Some GH fans are wondering whether Monet has an agenda. It would be interesting if Stella turns out to be the person who discovers what it is.
Will Monet become another target for Drew?

Whenever Drew becomes involved in a storyline, we have something to worry about. So, we have to wonder, why is Curtis bringing Drew into his messy case that Monet is now handling? Curtis knows all too well that Drew is a back-stabber.
When Monet said they needed the assistance of someone who had clout, why didn't he suggest Ezra Boyle (Daniel Cosgrove)? Ezra is a councilman and he's taking over as temporary mayor until Laura (Genie Francis) returns from Ireland. If Ezra couldn't do it, then Curtis could have suggested Tracy (Jane Elliot). Even though she isn't a politician, she is a millionaire and the matriarch of the Quartermaine family. Why on earth did Curtis suggest Drew, of all people?
Drew is not to be trusted. He's always looking for his next target, whether he has a good reason to go after the person or not. Monet is assertive, and she has a strong personality, which will benefit her when it comes to dealing with Drew. And thankfully, Curtis warned her that Drew always has an agenda and she shouldn't let her guard down around him. She seems confident that she can handle Drew. But can she? Or will she become his next target?
Has Monet already seen through Willow's lies?

We applauded Monet when she told Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) that Curtis can't use her help in his case, not after the publication of Lulu's (Alexa Havins) article. Monet just met Willow. Was she able to see through her lies that fast, or was she just being cautious because of the accusations against Willow in the article?
Willow has gotten away with her crimes for so many months now. It would be wonderful and refreshing if one of the new GH characters were the one to take her down somehow. And if that newbie is Monet, then that's all the better, since Chase (Josh Swickard) is another one of her clients. Monet may not know yet about Chase's blind allegiance to Willow. But if she could somehow open Chase's eyes to the truth about his precious Willow, then she would be our new favorite GH character.
Will Drew stab Curtis and Monet in the back? Will Michael and Jordan grow closer in Germany? Sound off in the comments.
