5 Questions About General Hospital's Serena Baldwin

Longtime General Hospital fans are familiar with the character of Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger). For newer fans who may not know her, she is the daughter of the late Dominique Stanton Baldwin (Shell Danielson) and Scott Baldwin (Kin Shriner). Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring) was the surrogate who carried Serena because Dominique had an inoperable brain tumor, and she wanted to give Scott a child before she passed away. Here are five questions we have about Serena.

Will she ever get out from under Lucy's thumb?

For the past couple of months, Lucy has been trying like crazy to convince Serena to seduce Michael (Rory Gibson) into giving her his shares of Deception Cosmetics. Since Michael is on a plane to Germany, Lucy frantically had decided to use Serena's recent connection with Jason (Steve Burton) to her advantage. She convinced Serena to trick Jason into signing over Michael's proxy.

Although Serena did try to tell Lucy no, she finally gave in to Lucy's demands in order to make her happy. Will Serena eventually become tired of doing Lucy's bidding? Will she finally stand up to Lucy and break free from her control? We need to see a stronger Serena who doesn't back down. Lucy needs a wake-up call, and she needs it sooner rather than later.

How close will she and Jason become?

Ever since Jason and Serena saved the falcons a couple of weeks ago, we know that Serena views him as a nice guy with a heart. After all, he took the time to help her move the falcon nest from the Quartermaine roof to the nature preserve.

Thankfully, she now realizes how foolish she was for trying to scam Jason into signing over Michael's proxy. Longtime Jason lovers know he wouldn't sign a document without reading it first. Does that mean she will admire him even more now than she did before? Will she like the fact that he was sharp enough to call her out on her deceptive behavior?

We wonder what kind of connection Jason and Serena will have going forward. Will they eventually become friends? Or will he have a difficult time trusting her, considering that she tried to deceive him?

Will she be in a storyline with the Scorpio family?

Several weeks ago, Serena spent some time getting to know Cody (Josh Kelly) since he is her half-brother. She also spent quality time with Mac (John J. York) and Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner), as Mac and Dominique are Cody's parents.

It was nice to see the warmth that Mac and Felicia extended to Serena and the way they embraced her as family, even though Mac isn't Serena's biological father. Will we see Serena in a future storyline with the Scorpios?

Or will we at least see Cody and Serena in more scenes together? We saw how they both bonded over Outback. Their mutual love for animals could be a starting point for the sibling relationship that they are trying to build.

Will she cross paths with Emma?

Emma (Braedyn Bruner) is also a Scorpio, as she is Robin's (Kimberly McCullough) daughter and Robert Scorpio's (Tristan Rogers) granddaughter. Since she and Serena are both animal rights activists, plus they have a non-biological family connection, will they appear in a future storyline together?

Serena might enjoy hearing the story of how Gio (Giovanni Mazza) and Emma first met Outback. They were tossing a ball around in the park when Outback appeared as a stray, stole Anna's (Finola Hughes) baseball cap, and ran away. Emma was afraid because the beagle was headed toward traffic. Thankfully, she rescued the dog and posted a photo of the pooch online. When no owner came forward, Emma kept the dog and named her Outback as a way of honoring Robert's Australian background.

Will Serena's father, Scotty, return to Port Charles?

We haven't seen Scotty since 2024, when he saw Jason pound on the door of a dingy room where a pharmacist was being kept for his own safety. Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) and later Ava (Maura West) had paid the pharmacist to tamper with Sonny's (Maurice Benard) bipolar medication. Jason was about to question the pharmacist when Scotty spotted him, dropped his bag of snacks in fear, and disappeared.

Now that Serena is in PC, this would be the perfect time for Scotty to return. How would he feel if he knew his daughter was connecting with Jason? We imagine that he would go ballistic and warn her to stay away from the ex-hitman, but would Serena listen to him?

That could make for an entertaining storyline. But for the time being, Scotty is off of the GH canvas. Still, we will always remember the humorous scene of him abandoning his beloved snacks and running for dear life at the sight of Jason.
