5 Questions General Hospital Needs to Answer About Ric Lansing

General Hospital's Ric Lansing (Rick Hearst) has had a lot on his plate the past few weeks in both his personal and professional lives. While he used to be a villain, he has turned over a new leaf in recent months. But here are five questions that we need answers to about Ric.

Is he playing a long con with Sonny?

Half-brothers Ric and Sonny (Maurice Benard) were bitter enemies for over 20 years. But since Ric's life-altering experience (as he called it) of being tied to a bed in Alexis' (Nancy Lee Grahn) basement, we've seen a new Ric who wants to start fresh with Sonny. While it's great to see the brothers finally getting along, is Ric being sincere? Or will we discover that he's been playing a long con all this time?

We hope that he genuinely wants a peaceful relationship with Sonny and that he isn't going to betray him somewhere down the line. Jason (Steve Burton) will be furious if he does. He's never trusted Ric and he probably never will. Right now, Jason is sitting on the sidelines and reluctantly accepting the fact that Sonny is embracing Ric in his life. But if Ric reverts to his conniving ways, we're going to see the return of Stone Cold. Jason will step in to protect Sonny, as he always did when he was Sonny's enforcer.

What dirt will Ric dig up on Hudson?

Now that Ric broke into Hudson's (Troy Lennon Appel) locker and placed a listening device in his briefcase, what juicy information will he discover? Is he going to overhear Hudson in a conversation with Joss (Eden McCoy) where she divulges her next move in her plan to take down Sonny?

There's a lot we still don't know about Hudson. Why did he beat up Ethan (Christian Howard) in Norway after asking him questions about baby Phoebe and her birth mother, Delilah (Lily Cardone)? Who is the mystery person Hudson has been calling? Is it the stranger with whom Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) recently spent the night?

We hope that Ric will learn the answers to those questions very soon, as some of them are mysteries that have dragged on for months. Let's hope he overhears Hudson disclose everything we've been wanting to know about him.

Will he and Lulu grow closer in time?

Even though Lulu (Alexa Havins) only recently asked Ric to defend her in the libel suit involving Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), we had already seen a friendship develop between Lulu and Ric prior to this. He confided in her about his insecurities involving his relationship with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst), and Lulu turned out to be a good shoulder for him to lean on. When he was planning to propose to Liz, Lulu suggested that he not rush the relationship. She advised him to simply enjoy spending time with Liz and to treat the relationship more casually until Liz gives him a sign that she's ready for something more serious.

Now that Lulu is going to be Ric's client, they're going to be spending even more time together. GH fans enjoy their chemistry and would like to see it explored.

Will he beat Monet in court?

Speaking of the upcoming trial, does Ric have what it takes to beat Monet Mitchell (Blythe Howard)? We know that he is a shrewd lawyer, but we haven't seen Monet in action yet. Ric has gone up against some great attorneys in court, like Diane Miller (Carolyn Hennesy), for example. But in this particular trial, neither Drew (Cameron Mathison) nor Sidwell (Carlo Rota) are confirming what Lulu claimed in her article, which doesn't bode well for Lulu and Ric.

If only Michael (Rory Gibson) would hand over those signed affidavits, which prove that Willow shot Drew. While it doesn't prove that she drugged him, at least it would show that she is dangerous.

Ric doesn't know what to expect from Monet as a legal opponent, since she just moved to Port Charles. Will she outmaneuver him in court and prove herself to be an even smarter trial lawyer than he is?

Will his relationship with Elizabeth last?

Even though Liz has been dating Ric, we've seen her spend more time hanging out with Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), which has been going on for months. It's been so long since we've seen Ric and Liz together. The last time was probably at Sonny's Labor Day barbecue at his home. That was almost two months ago. We haven't even seen Ric and Liz have a conversation in weeks.

And now that he's juggling his duties for Sonny and preparing for the upcoming libel suit trial, he's likely going to be too busy to see Liz at all. Can he make his relationship with Liz work out?
