5 Questions GH's Jude Should Answer Before Anyone Believes His Phoebe Claims

The latest General Hospital arrival, Jude Jacks, has shaken things up by declaring himself baby Phoebe's father and claimed Phoebe's adoption by Brook Lynn and Chase was illegal. As Tracy pushed Jason to do some research on Jude, Brook Lynn rushed to inform Chase about this hostile encounter.

At the same time, Jude met Alexis to ask for legal representation, claiming to be Jerry Jacks' son. Meanwhile, he hooked up with Britt anonymously last week. Currently, Jude's stance in the Phoebe case is likely to surprise those surrounding Brook Lynn and the Qs in the coming days.

1) How is Jude sure Phoebe is his child?

As fans noticed, Jude Jacks (Wil Traval) walked into the Quartermaine mansion as a stranger and demanded to see "his daughter." As Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) wondered whether there might be a case of mistaken identity, the stranger claimed that the baby BLQ has adopted and named Phoebe, was his daughter.

While Brook Lynn reminded him that they had adopted the baby against the father signing off the paternal rights, Jude insisted that he never signed off the rights to his baby. This scared Brook Lynn and worried her family. However, Jude's insistence that baby Phoebe was his child comes as a surprise. However, he is ready to undergo a DNA test to prove his claim.

Viewers saw Jude introduce himself to the Quartermaines as the son of Jerry Jacks (last played by Sebastian Roché). Since the Q-family has had much trouble from the villain in the past, including losing Alan Quartermaine (Stuart Damon) because of the villain's ugly actions, they may have a very negative reaction towards Jude.

While Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) doubted Jude's claim of being Jerry's son, she nonetheless sent Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) to dig up more information about the newcomer. Josslyn claimed she had a cousin named Jude, but is this man him?

3) What is Jude's other purpose in Port Charles?

For many fans, Jude's arrival in Port Charles to meet his presumed daughter, and possibly claim his hold on her seems worrisome. Brook Lynn may be rightly scared that Jude would want to lay claim on Phoebe and challenge the adoption. After months of hope and agony, she and her husband, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), have legally included Phoebe into the family circle, and would not want to give her up despite their own divorce.

Meanwhile, it is unclear whether taking away Phoebe is the sole purpose of Jude's arrival in Port Charles. There seems to be no apparent reason for an adult from Australia to chase after his pregnant friend and their baby across continents. As such, there may be more ulterior reasons for Jude's arrival in town, which are yet to be revealed.

4) What might be Jude's connection with JJE and Hudson?

As yet, it seems like Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) informed Jude about baby Phoebe. After Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard) refused to give away the baby's whereabouts, Hudson tracked the baby to Port Charles. When he showed interest in Brook Lynn's newly adopted baby, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) disclosed the baby's birth, mother's name, and adoption situation, leading Hudson to realize who Phoebe was.

While it is clear that Jude learned about Phoebe from Hudson, the latter's loyalty towards Jude is inexplicable since Hudson works for Jerry's brother, Jasper Jacks (Ingo Rademacher). Whether Jasper Jacks Enterprises is a façade for Jerry or Jude's nefarious dealings remains to be seen.

5) Why was Ethan worried about Phoebe's father?

A few months ago, after Phoebe was born and her mother Delilah (Lily Cardone) died at childbirth, Brook Lynn and Chase fostered the newborn before pushing to adopt her. At the time their attorney, Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), looked for the baby's father and zeroed in on Ethan due to a photograph. Ethan did not deny being Phoebe's father and insisted on a closed adoption. However, he later admitted to Ava Jerome (Maura West) that he was not the biological father and that the father was a dangerous man.

Later, GH fans witnessed Ethan skipping town to avoid Hudson, who tracked him to Norway. Hudson, then beat Ethan to extract intel on Phoebe. However, Ethan tried his best to hide the baby's whereabouts. As mentioned before, Josslyn blabbed all intel about Phoebe to Hudson, who informed Jude. The question that remains is about Ethan's fear of Phoebe's father being a dangerous man and knowing about the baby.
