General Hospital's Brook Lynn is going through a rough patch. On one hand, she is facing social censure for the disclosure of the secret about her driving on Route 91, while her husband, Harrison Chase, also walked out on her. At this time of trouble, when she needs support to lean on, her grandmother, Tracy Quartermaine, decided to go behind her back and push for Brook Lynn's divorce and full custody of baby Phoebe.
With Trina refusing to forgive BLQ while Jordan and Curtis were inclined to blame her, Brook Lynn has very few people to turn to as she struggles to keep her family intact. In this situation, Brook Lynn must not let her well-meaning grandmother jeopardize her life any further.
5 Arguments Favoring Brook Lynn Drawing the Line For Tracy
1) Tracy is behind Brook Lynn's current predicament

As fans know, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) drove on Route 91 on the night that Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) caused her own car crash. While Jordan's co-passenger, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), zeroed in on Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson), Brook Lynn remembered that she was also driving on the same road.
However, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) stopped BLQ from coming forward, pointing out how it may jeopardize the plans to adopt baby Phoebe. Tracy repeatedly forbade BLQ to make her presence near the accident spot known. As such, when the truth eventually stumbled out, it made Brook Lynn look like a deliberate and wilful liar. Because of that, many of her allies walked out on her, including her husband.
2) Tracy is set to destroy her marriage

After Brook Lynn's hidden truth came out, viewers witnessed her world crumbling as her husband, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard), walked out on her. Although Brook Lynn wanted to explain her position to Chase, he declared that he couldn't stand to look at her, and proceeded to rush to his former wife, Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen).
Judging that Chase is already interested in Willow, and may reunite with her, Tracy considered Brook Lynn's marriage over. As such, she went behind Brook Lynn's back and asked lawyer Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn) to advise on BLQ's divorce. Alexis refused to have any say on it since Tracy had not consulted Brook Lynn and didn't know her granddaughter's intentions. Since fans know BLQ wants to hold on to her marriage, Tracy's sneaky move may be considered betrayal.
3) Tracy's plan for full custody may backfire

When talking with Alexis about Brook Lynn's divorce, Tracy inquired about baby Phoebe Chase's (Lucia and Luna Creighton) position. Alexis advised on the usual joint custody. However, knowing that Brook Lynn wouldn't want to part with her baby even briefly, Tracy pushed Alexis for full custody to be granted to BLQ.
Chase was as enthusiastic about having a baby as BLQ. Moreover, he loves Phoebe deeply. As such, he will not let BLQ have full custody without a fight. This friction is likely to turn ugly. It is likely that Tracy may try to weaponize Chase's lingering closeness to Willow. This cruel move may ruin any possibility of a Chase-Brook Lynn reconciliation later.
4) Tracy may dig up past arrangements

Tracy has meddled in BLQ's relationship with Chase in the past. Three years ago, when BLQ had approached her grandmother to get Chase reinstated in his rank, Tracy had positioned herself as the one who pulled strings to get him reinstated. Later, she used this same intel to push Brook Lynn into spying for her in Deception.
If matters between Brook Lynn and Chase turn ugly, Tracy may dig up all past events. If she brings up how she helped Chase get back his job, the latter will likely feel more betrayed by his wife and her family. Moreover, if BLQ's spying comes to light, her career and reputation will be at stake.
5) Tracy's stance may alienate Brook Lynn further

As viewers may have guessed, Tracy is operating under the impression that Brook Lynn is weak and cannot manage her own crises. By forcing her to remain quiet after Jordan's accident became news, she forced her granddaughter to become a deceiver Brook Lynn. In the process, she alienated Brook Lynn from most people who matter.
Besides Chase deserting Brook Lynn over keeping secrets, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) openly accused BLQ of letting her father's misunderstanding with Isaiah escalate. The fallout with Trina may cost BLQ her contract with the music recording company. Moreover, a shocked Jordan and Curtis also shared negative sentiments against her.
At the same time, Brook Lynn's cousin, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) may distance himself from her to side with his new CEO, Jordan. If more people think BLQ is in the wrong and that Tracy is bulldozing others for her, Brook Lynn will make enemies unintentionally.
