In a hilarious encounter, General Hospital's Jason Morgan met Scott Baldwin's daughter, Serena. While he was unaware of her identity, Serena stomped on Jason's toe to remind him how her father, Scott Baldwin, skipped town for fear of his life, thinking Jason might attack him.

Later, Jason caught a shrieking Serena hanging upside down from one of the windows, trying to move a falcon nest. When she demanded that Jason rescue her, the former hitman helped her down and helped her shift the bird nests to the nature reserve. They were even seen checking each other for ticks after that. After Jason's intense romance with Britt Westbourne falling flat, his encounter with Serena, who is recently back in town, is interesting with a potential for a closer relationship.

5 Arguments in Favor of a Jason-Serena Pairing

1) Both Jason and Serena have no romantic commitments

Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) ended his promising romance with Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud) after navigating through tough times, Britt's presumed health issue and the danger from Ross Cullum's evil plan. He even saved her from being shot by a mentally unstable Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). However, a secret that Britt had kept from Jason broke his trust and the couple separated, leaving Jason single at the moment.

Serena Baldwin (Kelly Kruger) returned to Port Charles after many decades on the summons of her mother, Lucy Coe (Lynn Herring). While Lucy tried to pair Serena with Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), so that Michael would give his Deception shares to Lucy, Serena turned down the manipulation. She also did not mention any other romantic interest to her mother, hinting at currently being single.

2) Serena has the courage to stand up to Jason

As their recent interaction showed, Serena was not afraid to stand up to Jason, despite the latter's reputation as a hitman and his stoic demeanor. On the contrary, she stamped on his toe to remind him about the reason for her father, Scott Baldwin's (Kin Shriner) leaving town, accusing him of causing this. Jason had to ask her to remove her foot, before explaining that Scott should be held responsible for his own actions.

Later when she got caught at the window upside down, instead of asking Jason for help, Serena was seen demanding that he help her down. She was neither coy nor contrite. However, when she explained the real reason for her venturing on the Quartermaine mansion's roof, Jason offered to help her relocate the falcon nests. Serena accepted his help and even asked him to check her hair for ticks.

3) Potential of a conflict with Scott in the background

As mentioned before, Serena held Jason responsible for Scott skipping Port Charles and stamped on his toe as revenge. In response, Jason refused to be held responsible for Scott's actions. However, Serena did not look much convinced.

It is likely that Serena will continue to blame Jason for Scott living far away from his hometown and his loved ones. She will find it tough to forgive Jason since he refuses to assume responsibility for the event. As such, this may remain a bone of contention between the two and keep sparking more such animosities. This may add to the chemistry between them, hinting at the potential of a closer relationship in the future.

4) Unexpected personalities discovering each other

For decades, Jason has been saving people in town as a hitman with a golden heart. He loves fiery women who can hold their own. Serena came across as just that, and did not request a rescue when she was in an unpleasant situation. Rather, Serena demanded that Jason rescue her, challenging his stoic attitude. Moreover, Jason found out that Serena was not in trouble for her own sake, but had a noble cause in mind. Unlike women like Britt, Serena's love for nature may come across as a fresh personality trait. The unexpectedness of this association adds to the charm of a possible Jason-Serena involvement.

5) Serena may bring out the lighter side of Jason

As fans may note, Serena presents a light-hearted side of things, just like her mother. She played down her bankruptcy and refused to seduce Michael, without giving her mother any pushback. Her interaction with Jason started with a foot stamp, which soon changed to her hanging upside down. Jason looked at her curiously.

Without Serena really needing to ask for help, Jason felt compelled to assist her in moving the falcon nests. She was also light-hearted and casual when she asked him to check her hair for ticks. She advised Jason to check himself as well. Serena may offer Jason a world very different from the violent, emotional and risky life he has seen so far. Around her, Jason may find interest in nature, humor and easy camaraderie.
