In a shocking General Hospital twist, Curtis Ashford and Jenz Sidwell were violently attacked inside Pentonville prison. Orchestrated by Drew Cain and Ava Jerome, the brutal assault framed Sonny Corinthos as the chief suspect. While the plan seemed to work, the two players are busy blaming each other for Curtis getting caught in the middle. Drew pointed out that it was Ava's idea to attack Sidwell and let Sonny take the blame. However, Ava was horrified at Drew's indifference about Curtis getting hurt.

Drew and Ava are already embroiled in one mess involving Jack Brennan's dead body. Now, they have another mess on their hands. They should be very worried right now, but appear to be moving on to their next plan.

5 Concerns GH's Ava and Drew Must Dwell on

1) Sonny's wrath and ultimate payback

Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Ava Jerome (Maura West) have long been at war over their daughter, Avery. Sonny's recent decision to go on a vacation with his daughters enraged Ava. As her revenge, she and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) plotted to have Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) beaten up inside the prison by Sonny's henchmen.

While the initial suspicion is pointing towards Sonny, the former mob boss and his allies will eventually figure out the truth. When Sonny discovers the real culprit behind this smear campaign and sabotage, he will be livid. He may come after Ava and Drew in a big way. Moreover, Sonny may prove Drew and Ava's role in Sidwell's beating, landing them inside prison.

2) Unintended collateral and relationship with Trina

Viewers noticed Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) step in to de-escalate the attack on Sidwell. However, the goons extended their violence on Sidwell's cellmate, and Curtis was injured. Drew may have claimed that Curtis was his friend, but he considered considered it a blessing that his old pal was hurt since Curtis blaming Sonny made for a more plausible witness.

This shocked Ava since she did not want anyone else to get hurt. Moreover, Curtis is Trina Robinson's (Tabyana Ali) father, and Ava thinks of Trina has a psuedo-daughter. Ava has a friendship with both Trina and her mother. As such, she may keep looking over her shoulder for the moment when Trina learns the truth. That would spoil their friendship forever and Trina may not take this betrayal lightly.

3) Losing their individual daughters

As mentioned before, Ava is fighting with Sonny for custody of Avery. If Sonny learns about Ava's role in this fiasco, he may take away Ava's most precious thing, Avery. Sonny may collect evidence to prove Ava to be an unworthy mother in court and take away Avery permanently.

On the other hand, Drew is trying to maintain a holier-than-thou image in front of his daughter, Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski), despite all his atrocities. However, Scout overheard her father and Ava's conversation with Sonny's hitman. If she realizes the nasty scheme her father is involved in, Scout may detest Drew. As such, Drew will need to work smart to keep his image before his daughter intact.

4) The ticks and buried body connection

As fans may remember, Nina had noticed a tick behind Ava's ear and asked her to see a doctor. Later, Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson) removed the tick and asked her where she might have got it. However, Ava remained quiet about being in the nature reserve to bury Jack Brennan's (Chris McKenna) body.

However, Outback, the dog, has been visiting the grave to try to dig there. Some other Port Charles residents have rescued the dog from the location. If anyone among them catches a similar tick and connects it to the spot, the CDC and medical team may eventually visit the nature reserve. That may expose Jack's temporary grave and his buried body. If Isaiah connect the dots with Ava, he may know that she was at the location but hid the fact, proving her guilt.

5) Evidence tampering and spiked drink exposé

The greatest worry for both Drew and Ava is the discovery of Jack's body. If the buried body is found and investigated, forensics may reveal drowning as the cause of death. That would throw up the question of who pulled the body out of water and buried it. This would lead to the next obvious question that whoever buried the body in secret must have a reason to cover up Jack's death.

Finally, forensic results may reveal a sleeping pill in Jack's body. Since Ava had spiked his drink, she may worry about this coming to light. Meanwhile, Drew also may fear the same since Ava has threatened to take him down if she is caught for drugging Jack. As such, both allies must hope that status quo remains and no one discovers the truth about their nefarious actions.
