In a surprising twist, General Hospital's Jordan Ashford landed a new job in the wake of Curtis' conviction and prison sentence. Since Curtis was the CEO of Aurora Media, someone is needed to step into while he's behind bars. Since Jordan has corporate experience thanks to her work for Jenz Sidwell, Michael and Curtis thought she would be the perfect candidate and we agree. See why below.
5 Reasons Jordan may be the Perfect Aurora CEO
1) Curtis’ confidence and Michael’s trust

It was Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), the former CEO of Aurora Media, who suggested Jordan Ashford (Tanisha Harper) to be chosen the interim CEO. Curtis claimed that he would feel at peace if Jordan takes over, knowing that the company is in good hands. Based on his conviction, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) appointed Jordan in the top position.
When Jordan questioned Michael’s decision, he assured her of his trust in her abilities. He also referred to her successful work at Sidwell's company as proof. Since both Michael and Curtis are corporate men running successful businesses, their faith in Jordan speaks volumes in her favor.
2) Proven management skills

Michael mentioned Jordan's work for Sidwell as proof of Jordan's qualifications. Fans have seen Jordan as police commissioner and deputy mayor, as well as the right hand for Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota). She was also a DEA agent before she ever stepped foot in Port Charles.
In her high-risk jobs at the PCPD, displayed her courage. While working for Sidwell, Jordan showed smart strategies. Moreover, her position as deputy mayor proved her management skills.
3) Good at crisis and chaos handling

As the police commissioner, Jordan has navigated dangerous situations. She is known for rapid decision-making and effective undercover work. She can remain composed and collected in stressful environments, including personal relationships and conflicts.
These qualities make her ideal for a demanding and aggressive job of a CEO of a media house. She will be able to step in during a chaotic situation and offer stability and best direction out of a confusion. Moreover, she can be strong and stand up to powerful people.
4) Better perspective after her adversity

As fans know, Jordan had a car accident a few months ago, disfiguring her face. Although impacted by the scars on her face, Jordan refused the help offered by mobster Sidwell in exchange for intel. While her partner, Curtis chose to pick a fight with the “other driver”, Jordan tried to keep the heat down, including helping Curtis’s former wife, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), with the birth of their son.
Meanwhile, mobster Sidwell was arrested, tried and sentenced. With Jordan’s undercover mission coming to an end, she was looking for another job. The top position at Aurora Media would be a new experience for her. But with work experience and distressing ordeal behind her, Jordan may offer a clearer and better approach to the job at hand.
5) Neutral under power struggle

So far, GH viewers have rarely seen Jordan sway under power pressure. She has always worked on the side of the law and justice. Even when she pretended to have allegiance with Sidwell, she remained calm as she completed her mission.
Port Charles has many influential players, which include the Quartermaine family, the Corinthos syndicate, the Cassadines and the Spencer family. These families hold various pockets of power, from politics to the mob and the police to industries. However, Jordan does not belong to any faction and does not feel the need to stay loyal to any family or group. This keeps her in the unique position to remain neutral and fair.
