In a surprising turn of events, General Hospital's Justine Turner reached out to former congressman Drew Cain to get his input on the violence inside Pentonville prison. While Drew was seen strongly criticizing Sonny, Justine asked him to think back to the time when Drew worked for Sonny when he thought he was Jason. While the ADA offered to provide Drew with legal immunity, she insisted that she wanted to drag Sonny to the prison for old cold cases.

Drew seemed rightly hesitant to talk about Sonny's past crimes, emphasizing that he himself was never involved in any crime (he indeed was). However, he may take up Justine's offer of immunity to take Sonny down through legal means. In all this, Justine may end up regretting using the secret criminal as her aide.

5 Ways Justine May Be Erring in Enlisting Drew's Services

1) Handing Drew an immunity card

Acting District Attorney Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) called Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) to question him about the recent prison violence. She claimed to be intent on locking Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) behind bars. Perking up, Drew proceeded to pile criticism on Sonny, emphasizing that the former mobster might not have exited the mob after all.

To lure more information from Drew, Justine offered to provide him with legal immunity in exchange for firsthand intel on Sonny's malpractices from the time when Drew worked for Sonny. While Drew maintained that he was not involved in any crime, he may get tempted to get that immunity card. Later, when Justine discovers evidence of Drew's various heinous actions, the former politician may use the same immunity card to go scot-free.

2) Possibility of manipulating the DA's office

As mentioned before, by the powers vested in her by her position, Justine is ready to provide Drew with legal immunity in exchange for dirt on Sonny. It seems her blind desire for revenge on Sonny is driving Justine to make a massive mistake in joining hands with a dangerous wild card.

Since GH fans know about Drew's various crimes, Justine's moves can be termed a colossal blunder. Drew, who was a corrupt congressman in the past, knows legal and administrative systems well. He may use the DA's office to fulfil his own needs while Justine's professionalism will be compromised by collaborating with an unleashed lawbreaker.

3) Drew is tied to the recent crime while Sonny is framed

The main culprits behind the Pentonville prison violence were Drew and his ally, Ava Jerome (Maura West). Together, they planned to target Sonny's rival, Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), locked in the prison. However, while Sidwell was beaten, his cellmate, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), became collateral damage.

Drew arranged for the goons to drop Sonny's name, so that the witnesses would hear and report it. As such, the victims became prime witnesses in the accusations of prison violence against Sonny. However, Sonny is being framed and has no way to prove his innocence. However, later when the truth is disclosed, Justine will lose her credibility and image for such a huge mistake.

4) Drew always has his own agenda

From a heroic former Navy SEAL, Drew has developed into a calculating politician over the years, who keeps his interests above all else. Driven by personal vendettas and ambitions, Drew will help Justine as long as it benefits him. The day their goals diverge, he will betray her at a moment's notice.

Moreover, Drew lived up to his reputation of being "public enemy #1" and leaving devastation in his wake. From turning on his Aurora Media friend, Curtis, to ruining his nephew, Michael Corinthos' (Rory Gibson) marriage, to landing Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) in Steinmauer by framing her, Drew destroys every alliance that he makes. In future, the list may include Justine.

5) Turning a blind eye to Nina, Jack, and Ava connections

Another vital reason is that Justine's latest move seems to be a misstep she may regret later because of her lack of foresight. In her desire for nabbing Sonny, Justine is overlooking more serious crimes under her watch. She is not looking into Jack Brennan's (Chris McKenna) disappearance, or the possibility that Nina might have been framed for the crime, as she claims.

At the same time, Justine is aware of Ava's connections to the Jerome clan and her past reputation. As such, a meticulous professional like Justine is expected to look at a newly-formed coalition between Drew and Ava with suspicion. More so, since Justine is aware of the Sonny-Ava battle. When the truth about Nina's false accusation, Jack's death, and Sonny's innocence is revealed, Justine will look incompetent to have sided with the perpetrators.
