General Hospial's Sonny Corinthos is facing a dark time as Ava and Drew have framed him to take the fall for the Pentonville attack. Unfortunately for Sonny, most of his family, friends and loved ones have fallen for Ava and Drew's trap and think Sonny was the culprit. Among them are his son, Dante, his grandson, Gio, and his girlfriend, Justine.

However, Sonny may still have a few people a few people on his side. Ric and Jason already believe him, but one person Sonny knows he can always count on his Carly. Here is why she will likely be on his sife.

Longtime GH fans already know, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) share a long history of romance, partnership and friendship. From adopting her son to letting her run his business, Sonny and Carly showed absolute faith in each other. While they have married and divorced multiple times and have moved on with other romantic partners, they remain friends forever.

Just as in the past, whenever either of them faced a bad time, the other rushed in to support, Carly will likely do so again. Now that most of Sonny's loved ones distrust him, he may find Carly standing up for him in complete support and faith.
