5 Reasons GH’s Willow May Be Running Out of Allies

General Hospital's Willow Tait is finally reaching her retribution arc as she finds herself funning out of both allies and luck, especially with so many people now knowing she shot Drew. With Michael knowing the truth, her plan to reopen the investigation and frame him has fallen by the wayside, and she now has to live on the Quartermaine estate under his watchful eyes. She knows she has gone too far, but now she may see she has nowhere to turn.

5 Signs the Walls are Closing in On Willow

1) Questioning Kai’s loyalty

Kai Taylor (Jens Austin Astrup) and Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) worked out the events of the night of Drew Cain’s (Cameron Mathison) shooting and came conclusion that Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) shot the congressman. Unfortunately, when Alexis was ethically bound to not throw her case, they remained quiet. At the same time, after realizing that Kai knew about her actions, Willow decided to keep the sportsperson in her official staff, to keep an eye on him.

However, Kai and Trina recently signed an affidavit and exposed the truth to Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson) when they learned that Willow was trying to take their kids away from Michael. Then, Kai proceeded to officially resign from Willow’s staff. Willow threatened that he may face dire consequences. Whether Kai will face danger remains to be seen. But Willow has lost a credible staff member in Kai.

2) Challenging Tracy on her home ground

Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) stopped believing Willow’s “sweet girl” act from the time Willow cheated on her husband, Michael, who is a Quartermaine. Tracy never forgave Willow and never gives up any opportunity of showing her displeasure.

In the current scenario, Michael has forced Willow back onto the Quartermaine estate. As such, Tracy would expect Willow to play by her rules. However, Willow may feel too independent to follow the family matriarch’s instructions. If Willow tries to throw her weight around, now that she has to live at the Q-gatehouse, Tracy will bring out her own nastiness to show the congresswoman her true place.

As fans know, Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) has been an unwavering supporter of Willow and believes her innocent victim act. Willow has been manipulating Chase’s trust on her. As Willow tries to ensnare Chase through friendly actions, his wife, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) sees through the devious woman. BLQ has already warned Willow to back off. However, Willow openly defied Brook Lynn’s demands and invited Chase to help her with her moving in.

This situation is poised for an escalation and a resulting blowup. Alongside her grandmother, Tracy, Brook Lynn may also work towards taking down Willow. Being around Willow often puts Chase close enough to stumble into the truth about Willow’s crimes. When Chase learns that Willow pulled the trigger on Drew, kept him in a paralytic condition with drugs, and lied on the stand, the conscientious and upright cop will be shocked. He may drop her like a hot potato realizing that she played him like a fool.

4) Threats from Drew and Alexis

Initially, when stabbing Drew with paralytic drugs, Willow wanted to subdue him till she had material to ruin his life. However, her ally and drug-provider, Jenz Sidwell’s (Carlo Rota) arrest wrecked her plans. As such, Drew recovered and knows all of Willow’s crimes.

While Willow made a pact with Drew that neither of them will reveal the other’s crimes, peril continues to loom over her, as she made the deal with her enemy. Moreover, her attorney, Alexis Davis (Nancy lee Grahn), knows about her shooting, thanks to Kai and Trina. If Alexis uses the intel against the sitting congresswoman, Willow’s career and reputation will be destroyed forever.

Longtime fans know, Willow put on an image as a pure-hearted, compassionate teacher-turned-nurse. In the last couple of years, her vindictive streak grew guided by Drew’s control. Every time Willow does something terrible, she feels justified.

Moreover, she has been showing a stance towards over-justifying herself which may eventually push away her friends. One such person is her friend and colleague, Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), who has been finding Willow’s behavior odd. If her self-righteousness counters her actions, she may lose more than her friends, including her mother and children.
