5 Risks For GH’s Ava if She Continues Her Alliance With Drew

General Hospital's Ava Jerome is heading down another treacherous path with her newfound alliance with Drew Cain. After Ethan Lovett’s escape from Port Charles, Ava was left without an ally. With her friends, Nina and Portia, wrapped up in their own messy lives, Ava is once again battling Sonny over Avery. In such a state, Drew reached out to her to collaborate and bring down Sonny Corinthos.

Hoping to get Sonny to stop threatening her over Avery, Ava has agreed to be Drew’s ally. However, Drew has too many enemies and even more revenge plans. With the former congressman needing Ava’s assistance to keep Jack Brennan occupied till Drew can search the WSB chief’s space, Ava is getting pulled into Drew’s mess. This may be fraught for danger for Ava as she has much to lose in this chaos.

5 Possible Losses Ava May Face as Drew’s Ally

Ava Jerome (Maura West) agreed to become an ally in the revenge plans of Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) hoping to take down her longtime rival, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), as Ava and Sonny have been fighting over daughter, Avery, since birth.

However, Drew has been targeting Sonny, as he is convinced by taking out Sonny, he takes out his other enemies in one fell swoop. Drew seems to see Sonny as the host to all his problems. When Sonny learns that Ava is in collusion with his enemy, he will be furious. Moreover, if Ava has a brush with the WSB, and gets charged, thanks to Drew’s plan, Sonny may take specific steps to ensure that Ava loses Avery’s custody permanently.

2) Becoming WSB’s target in a blowback

Drew has asked Ava for a favor, a first task in their collaboration. She is to distract Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), while Drew will search Jack’s hotel room for the intel he wants. Although Ava is not privy to Drew's reason for this, she has reluctantly agreed to help him. As such, she may keep him occupied and drug him to sleep while Drew steals the vital asset.

However, when the fiasco is revealed, the WSB will investigate thoroughly. As the loss is assessed, Jack’s condition may point at Ava’s involvement. This may lead to felony charges for her.

3) Losing Trina’s respect and Nina’s friendship

As longtime GH viewers know, Trina Robinson (Tabyana Ali) holds Ava in high esteem. However, Ava knows that Drew blackmailed Trina’s mother, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr). The former congressman’s atrocities were also responsible for the Trina’s parents' divorce. As such, Trina will likely be shocked to find Ava in collusion with Drew. However, if Ava refuses to listen to Trina’s warnings about Drew’s manipulative nature, and continues in a shady and toxic path with Drew, she may lose the hard-earned respect.

Nina (Cynthia Watros) would also be shocked to learn that Ava drugged Jack. While they had a spat the other day over Jack's truth bombs about Willow, Nina still has feelings for the man who Ava could hurt so dearly. This may be the end of another friendship for Ava.

4) Getting caught in corporate warfare

In the current storyline, Sonny is buying back his properties that his rival Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota) had taken over. With Sidwell in prison, and his assets up for auction, many buyers are in the market. While Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) is another potential rival, Drew wants to ensure that Sonny does not get to buy any of the assets and cannot restart a legal business.

However, as Drew gets into the bidding, he will have to outbid Valentin. This will be a corporate war. Unfortunately, Ava has nothing to do with all this but may get embroiled in the conflict of the billionaires. Moreover, she may end up losing financially. At the same time, towing Drew’s line means Ava loses her autonomy and her revenge strategy is hijacked.

5) Facing ultimate betrayal as the fall guy

Anyone who knows Drew also knows he is a backstabber. As Trina may be able to explain to Ava, Drew is manipulative and selfish.The master schemer may have plans to position Ava as the fall guy if things take turn for the worse or their ploy is exposed. He may use Ava as collateral damage and a scapegoat. When the time comes, Drew is likely to protect his political and social network, and throw Ava under the bus.
