5 Secrets Jack Brennan’s Death Can Bring to Light on General Hospital

In a sudden and unexpected twist, General Hospital killed off Jack Brennan after he consumed the drink Ava Jerome spiked with sleeping pills. Charlotte and Danny were the first to discover the body in the Metro Court pool, but the teenagers fled. Ava and Drew then dragged the body to the land beside the Q crypt and buried Jack.

However, with Outback attempting to dig Jack out and Joss reporting Jack missing to the WSB, a wide search for the missing agent may soon ensue. At the same time, the infamous Black Box in Jack’s office will likely be investigated for some intel. That will surely lead to a bucket full (or a box full) of secrets coming out.

5 Mysteries Likely to Be Exposed After Jack’s Death

1) The paralytic drug used on Jack and Drew

Many people, including Nurse Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst), questioned the coincidence of Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) having a paralytic attack similar to Drew Cain's (Cameron Mathison), and both occurring in Willow Tait’s (Katelyn MacMullen) house. With Liz intrigued by the enigma and deciding to look into it, the real reason may eventually tumble out, especially in light of Jack's subsequent disappearance.

That may prove that a special paralytic drug was used to medically cause Jack and Drew’s immobility, and it wasn't one he accidentally injected himself with, as he'd claimed. If the drug is identified, it may be traced to mobster Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), who is already in prison. How soon Willow’s role gets exposed remains to be seen.

This was the dirt Jack was threatening Drew with, which led the latter to devise the retrieval plan that resulted in Jack's death.

If the authorities eventually retrieve the evidence, Drew may be tried for misappropriation of funds while holding office. The evidence can end Drew’s career, landing him in prison again. However, he may make a deal to exchange intel on the current congresswoman in exchange for his own freedom.

Since the Black Box has intel on many things, it may also hold the traffic camera footage from the night of Drew’s shooting. While the footage was included in the evidence initially, DA Justine Turner (Nazneen Contractor) found it missing when she presented the case in court. While Justine suspected Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) of swiping the footage, it was Jack who tampered with the evidence. The missing, crucial evidence against Willow, the real shooter, helped the culprit walk away free.

Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) asked Jack to suppress the evidence and save her daughter, which the WSB chief did as a favor, in exchange for Nina’s help in locating Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart). The evidence of Jack suppressing the vital evidence and the footage itself may be recovered from Jack’s office.

If the incriminating security cam footage is retrieved, another secret will spill out. Willow’s role in shooting Drew will get exposed. As such, Willow’s intention of pinning the blame on her former husband, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), may come to light.

While Willow cannot be tried again for shooting Drew, thanks to the double jeopardy loophole, she will likely not escape the public censure. Moreover, her political career is likely to be over and she could lose her children forever.

Among all the hidden events, Nina’s panicked action of shoving a wheelchair-bound Drew into the Quartermaine lake was known only to Jack and the victim, Drew. Whether Jack kept any intel about Nina’s deed in his possession or in the Black Box is as yet unknown. However, if various secrets start coming out, Drew may reveal that Nina pushed him into the water and left him to die.
