In the aftermath of the Spoon Island chaos, General Hospital's Josslyn Jacks has emerged as a central figure in Port Charles law enforcement. Although she was manipulated into joning the WSB while still grieving Dex Heller, Josslyn has been holding her own quite well.

While an injured Josslyn was lauded by the organization's director, Z, she negotiated for Jason and Valentin's freedom. Joss remained loyal to her boss, Jack, till the end and accepted the assignment of taking the CEO's position in her father's company and working undercover. With Jack gone missing, a lot more responsibility falls on Josslyn's shoulders to maintain peace in town, collaborate with the PCPD, and work undetected under the radar.

5 Clues that Josslyn is Emerging as a Competent Agent

1) Mastering discretion and corporate cover

Unlike the tempestuous teenager she was, Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) has displayed a change as a WSB agent. Since her recruitment in the organization, she has maintained complete discretion about her missions without endangering any of her loved ones. Even when she interacted with Cassius Faison (Ryan Paevey) or when she shot down, but eulogized, Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), she showed necessary tact.

More recently, she was intent on turning down her father's offer to run Jasper Jacks Enterprises. However, when her boss, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), told her the WSB wanted her to helm JJE as her current mission, she accepted it.

2) Negotiating with leadership

Josslyn shot and killed Agent Cullum and landed in hospital with her own injury. When the WSB Director, Z (John Oliver), visited her at the hospital, she agreed to his professional demands and directives in exchange for freedom for Valentin Cassadine (James Patrick Stuart) and Jason Morgan (Steve Burton).

While Josslyn's recruitment in the organization was kept a secret, her heroic acts made her someone the WSB wanted to keep an eye on. Also, instead of being timid in front of a very senior official, Joss's true courage extended to standing her ground before him.

3) Transitioning away from emotional reactions

As mentioned before, Josslyn was an emotional teen who often acted impulsively. She did the same when she avenged the death of her boyfriend, Dex Heller (Evan Hofer). However, her WSB training and her involvement in high-stakes situations have matured her.

As such, her reactions to problems in the present time are well thought out and wiser. That includes her response to Britt Westbourne's (Kelly Thiebaud) allegations about Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). Fans saw Britt arriving at Joss's house to allege that Anna had tried to kill her. However, Josslyn reacted calmly, talked to Jason to confirm the truth and laid out a sleeping arrangement for Britt, instead of rushing into action.

4) Focusing on fact-gathering and suspicions

WSB Agent Josslyn Jacks gives more importance to fact-gathering over having emotional knee-jerk reactions. When she heard Britt's accusations, she calmly offered to put Britt up at her place for the night. However, before believing Britt, Joss talked to Jason to learn the facts.

Plus, as Joss pointed out to Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), the VP of Operations at JJE, she knew his professional history. Having done her homework on him, she questioned him about the gaps in his resume. This showed that she was not ready to believe Hudson blindly and was ready to make informed choices.

5) Navigating complex moral decisions

A WSB agent has to navigate the tightrope of a moral code of conduct. As such, Josslyn has already proven to take the best option for the organization by shielding Cullum's reputation and demonizing Cassius, although she expressed her regret towards Cassius secretly. This moral choice is a new turn in her persona.

Moreover, Josslyn showed the maturity of interacting with Britt patiently, despite having a history of mistrust between them. Although disbelieving her, Josslyn acted like a professional to contain the fallout from Anna's actions.
