5 Things GH's Josslyn Needs to Get Right as the Newest Owner of the Port Charles Piers

In an unexpected twist, General Hospital's Josslyn Jacks won the auction for Pier 55 and 56, beating out Sonny Corinthos, as well as Valentin Cassadine, Drew Cain, and Selina Wu.

While her move was focused on taking Sonny down, Josslyn will need to tread carefully since she has a vital piece of property on her hands that the bad guys want. With her current move, she put a target on her own back while depending only on her WSB training to ward off the mob.

5 Critical Points Josslyn Must Remember to Protect Herself

1) Watch her right-hand man, Hudson, closely

GH fans know that Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) is more than meets the eye. To start with, he followed Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard) to Norway and tortured him to get information about Delilah's (Lily Cardone) baby. Later, he landed in Port Charles and introduced himself as the VP of Operations at Jasper Jacks Enterprises.

Since Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) seems to trust him and uses him as her aide in her fight against Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), she needs to check him out. As fans have noticed, Hudson reports to some unknown person by phone, a fact Joss does not know about. As such, she must remain alert about her closest ally as he may have an ulterior motive.

2) Secure non-compromised allies and employees

Since Josslyn is now the owner of the coveted piers, she may want to have reliable people on her side. She may consider having her brother, Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson), or employing Jason Morgan (Steve Burton), since she trusts them. They would look out for her safety and protect her. However, she must remember that both have an allegiance to Sonny, and may eventually move in his favor.

Josslyn will need to look for people whose loyalty would not shift away from her in the future. In Port Charles, she may be left with very few people who fall into this category.

3) Beware of dangerous contenders alongside Sonny

Sonny wasn't the only one who wanted those piers. Since they are mostly used for illegal purposes, Josslyn must heed caution about the dangers surrounding the asset. She might have noticed some players like Selina Wu (Lydia Look), who were looking to exploit the property. Such people may go in a roundabout manner to use the piers.

As such, Sonny is not the only enemy Joss needs to fear. As mentioned before, Josslyn has earned a target on her back as soon as she bought the asset.

4) Prevent the piers, JJE, and WSB from intermingling

At first, Josslyn was not interested in being the CEO of her father's company. However, she accepted it as part of her WSB assignment. However, using the piers and the JJE work as a cover for her WSB assignment may lead to some slip-ups that will threaten to blow Josslyn's cover. As such, she must have a clear wall between JJE and WSB, and never let any WSB intel leak into her JJE servers.

Moreover, she may need to hire a competent leader to delegate her JJE work so that she does not face a burnout trying to juggle multiple roles and identities.

Josslyn has an above-board corporate standing, along with her WSB identity and heroic actions. These are her strengths and her advantages over Sonny, who is a former mobster. Sonny has been using the piers for illegal businesses and that had been the interest of many of the other bidders. The piers finally have an owner whose interests in the asset would be connected to legitimate businesses.

However, Josslyn will need to protect her clean image by ensuring that the piers do not become the source of any mud-slinging. If Joss maintains a good rapport with the PCPD, keeping them apprised of the proceedings and dock safety at the piers, she can make it difficult for criminals to make any move. Moreover, if any of the other players try to sneak their way into the piers, Josslyn can act in collaboration with the police.
