General Hospital's Brook Lynn Quartermaine is dedicated to her husband, Harrison Chase, but sees trouble on the horizon in the form of his former wife, Willow Tait. Chase continues to have a soft spot for Willow, which she exploits to her advantage.
Brook Lynn remains alert about Willow’s manipulations, while on the other, she needs a stable family to raise baby Phoebe. Meanwhile, Brook Lynn is also holding a huge secret about the Route 91 accident from Chase. With too many things working against her, Brook Lynn’s marriage is precariously balanced.
5 Scenarios That May Breakup Brook Lynn and Chase’s Relationship
1) Willow’s influence on Chase

As GH fans know, Brook Lynn Quartermaine (Amanda Setton) is desperate to keep her marriage with Harrison Chase (Josh Swickard) stable. BLQ is wary of Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen), Chase’s former wife. Since Chase believes Willow is innocent of all crimes, he jumps at the chance to play her savior. Willow also manipulates this tendency and leans on him.
However, Brook Lynn can see through Congresswoman Willow’s intentions and has already warned her. Unfortunately, Willow does not seem to relent and Chase keeps falling for the congresswoman’s shenanigans. Willow may eventually become the chief cause behind the breakdown of BLQ’s marriage.
2) The Route 91 secret

GH viewers may remember that on the night Jordan Ashford's (Tanisha Harper) near-fatal accident on Route 91, there were various other drivers on the same road. Since the driver of the other car drove away without stopping, Jordan’s injury turned serious. Jordan’s co-passenger, Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner), preferred to believe that the “other driver” was Dr. Isaiah Gannon (Sawandi Wilson).
However, fans know, Brook Lynn was also driving in a slightly inebriated condition, as were teenagers, Charlotte (Bluesy Burke) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), who also crashed their car and needed to be rescued by Carly. When BLQ realized that she might have been involved in Jordan’s accident, she wanted to confess. However, Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) stopped her from coming forward. As such, BLQ has managed to keep it a secret from her honest cop husband for the fear of losing her family. If and when Chase learns about his wife’s secret, he will be furious. Whether that leads to their breakup remains to be seen.
3) Hostility between Chase and Michael

At one time, Chase and Michael Corinthos (Rory Gibson)were the best of friends. However, Willow cheated on Chase with Michael and later married him. Chase forgave her and they remained on friendly terms. While Chase married Brook Lynn, Willow cheated on Michael with Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). However, after divorcing Michael, when Willow started having problems in her relationship with Drew, Chase stepped in to help her. Willow also falsely convinced Chase that she was wrongly accused of shooting Drew and that Michael was the real shooter.
This turned into a major beef between Michael and Chase. Due to his trust in Willow, Chase targeted Michael, something the Quartermaine family members did not appreciate. If Chase and Michael’s animosity continues, the rest of the family will side with Michael and drive Chase off. At the same time, Michael is deliberately pushing Chase and Willow together to bust the latter’s good image. As mentioned before, Willow may become the homewrecker.
4) Tracy’s over-interference

Tracy Q is very protective of her family. For her the Quartermaine pride and family reputation come first. As such, she looks for her own blood and shields them from all danger. That includes shielding Brook Lynn from the consequences of Jordan's accident.
Tracy is also keeping an eye on Chase’s closeness with Willow, particularly when the latter keeps summoning the cop to help her out. The Q matriarch was seen chastising Chase for being in the boathouse with Willow, while informing BLQ about Chase helping Willow move into the gatehouse. With Tracy intervening in Chase and Brook Lynn’s marriage, there is likely to be a strain in the relationship. If Tracy involves other family members, such as Ned (Wally Kurth) and Olivia (Lisa LoCicero), Chase may want to escape the stifling atmosphere.
5) The Phoebe factor

Brook Lynn and Chase rescued Delilah (Lily Cardone) from the streets and after her death, the couple named and fostered baby Phoebe (Lucia & Luna Creighton). Now, they have legally adopted the baby through a closed adoption. In response to Brook Lynn’s insecurities about Willow, Chase assured her that Phoebe is his priority. As such, baby Phoebe cements Chase and BLQ’s bond strongly.
However, JJE’s vice president, Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel) is in town for work where he met baby Phoebe and was intrigued by her adoption story. Before that he followed Ethan Lovett (Christian Howard) to Norway to enquire about Delilah and her baby. Ethan lied when he said the baby had died. If Hudson interferes with Brook Lynn and Phoebe’s family, it may disturb the already precarious relationship. Moreover, if Brook Lynn is forced to give up Phoebe, there may not be any loving bond to hold the couple in the marriage.
