The former couple, Dante Falconeri and Lulu Spencer of General Hospital, are going through another rough patch in their relationship over Rocco. As fans know, they are co-parenting Rocco and Charlotte after Lulu woke up from her four-year-long coma while her liver-donor and Dante’s fiancée, Sam McCall, died.

After years of raising Rocco alone, Dante was recently livid with Lulu for lying to him about his son’s current problems. Moreover, Dante learned that his friend-cum-colleague, “Nathan”, kept him in the dark about Rocco’s role in Cullum’s shooting. A rattled Dante warned Lulu against keeping anything about his son from him while blaming Nathan for deceit. At the same time Lulu’s breakup with Nathan has left her single, sparking speculation about an upcoming reunion with Dante.

5 approaches that can reunite Dante and Lulu on General Hospital

1) Coming together over Rocco’s crisis

As viewers know, Rocco (Finn Carr) is currently facing a perilous situation. After shooting Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), Rocco is psychologically affected as well as being in danger of being caught. While Lulu (Alexa Havins Bruening) tried to keep it a secret from Dante (Dominic Zamprogna), he discovered it and confronted her.

Since Dante and Lulu both grasp the seriousness of Rocco’s situation, they will likely fight together to protect their son. This may bring them closer. Whether that brings the spark back into their lives remains to be seen.

2) Moving on from “Nathan” scenario

Lulu befriended Nathan (Ryan Paevey) as he was looking into Charlotte’s (Bluesy Burke) safety when Valentin (James Patrick Stuart) escaped prison. As they interacted about the girl’s safety, they came closer. Moreover, they developed feelings for each other while Maxie (Kristen Storms) woke up from her coma.

Lulu and Nathan asked Maxie’s permission about their newly-developed affair. While initially reluctant, Maxie approved their affair while informing Dante about it. However, disagreement over Rocco’s safety measures has brought in a rift between Lulu and Nathan, and dissolved their romance. This adds to the possibility of Lulu moving on with Dante. As yet, Lulu and Dante are unaware that Nathan is Cassius in reality.

3) The matriarch-patriarch involvements

For years, Lulu’s mother, Laura Collins (Genie Francis) has wished to see her daughter settled. As the protective matriarch of the Spencer family, she may orchestrate situations bringing Lulu and Dante closer, besides actively voicing her approval.

On the other hand, Dante’s father, Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard), may encourage his son to protect his family from any oncoming danger. If Sonny learns about Rocco’s involvement with Cullum, the mob boss will ensure protection that may bring together the Falconeri-Spencer family.

4) Facing problems and duties as a team

Currently, Lulu is facing danger signals for both her children. On one hand, she is worried that Valentin may contact Charlotte and take her away. On the other hand, Rocco shot Cullum in the back, and Lulu is busy hiding him from the WSB. After Dante’s ultimatum, Lulu will likely involve him when making decisions for her children.

Meanwhile, Dante knows that Jason (Steve Morgan) took the fall to save his son and wants to repay Jason by helping get him released. At the same time, Nathan warned him that Cullum would soon figure this out as well. Dante will likely need Lulu’s help to shield Rocco from Cullum. The duo may work as a joint unit in the coming days.

5) Extricating from Spencer-Quartermaine chaos

As longtime General Hospital fans already know, both the Spencer family and the Quartermaine family have some chaotic situations brewing at all times. On one hand, the Spencer family sees Laura facing Sidwell’s blackmail, while on the other, Carly (Laura Wright) is collaborating with Valentin.

On the Quartermaine side, Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Chase (Josh Swickard) are looking to adopt baby Phoebe. However, Michael (Rory Gibson) is using Chase as bait to frame Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). This may destroy Chase’s marriage, bringing more confusion to the dramatic family. In such a scenario, Dante and Lulu may build a bubble of their own family with children to cut out the turmoil.

General Hospital: 5 hurdles in the Dante-Lulu reunion

1) Dante’s grief over Sam’s death

As fans know, Sam (Kelly Monaco) donated her liver to Lulu before Cyrus (Jeff Kober) killed her with digitalis. Sam and Dante had officially got engaged right before her death. As such, the cop was heartbroken and grieved Sam for months after the tragedy. Meanwhile, Lulu woke up from her coma and found Dante unresponsive towards her love for him.

Since coma left Lulu unaware about Dante moving on with Sam and the intensity of his love, Lulu responded by starting an affair with Nathan. While recently Nathan and Lulu’s affair came to an end over Rocco’s situation, whether Dante has overcome Sam’s loss remains to be seen.

2) Gio’s role in Dante’s life

In a shocking turn of events, Gio (Giovanni Mazza) was revealed to be Dante and Brook Lynn’s biological son during the Nurses Ball 2025. While this rattled Dante, he was suspicious of Gio and rude towards him. It took a long time for both Dante and Gio to reconcile.

Fans may remember that Lulu was one of the players who orchestrated the revelation out of spite for BLQ. However, whether she accepts Gio as part of Dante’s family unit remains to be seen. Moreover, Gio will continue to connect Dante with Brook Lynn, to Lulu’s displeasure.

3) Dante’s other romantic distractions

In an extension of the above argument, Gio’s biological connections make Dante and Brook Lynn friends for life. With her marriage at risk of a breakdown, thanks to Michael’s nefarious actions to take Willow down, BLQ may need all the support that she can get. As such, she may find Gio and Dante by her side.

Meanwhile, General Hospital fans witnessed Dante’s growing closeness with Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) as he shared his mental turmoil and worries with the nurse. Incidentally, he learnt about Rocco’s situation from Elizabeth. With no commitment towards Lulu, Dante may get pulled into other romances.

4) Clashing parenting styles

As viewers have witnessed, Dante and Lulu have different parenting styles, and they do not agree with each other. These differences can spoil any chances of their reunion. As a law enforcer, Dante is strict and prefers to follow rules. He raised Rocco while giving lessons on accountability and punishments for wrong actions.

However, Lulu’s parenting style is that of an overprotective helicopter mother. She prefers to hold on to her children to keep them safe. As such, she tries to keep Valentin away from Charlotte, knowing the latter’s love for her father. Moreover, she refused to send Rocco away to a safe place despite the latter’s danger from Cullum and WSB in town.

5) Difference of opinions on justice and law

As with the previous point, Dante and Lulu’s personal stance in justice and law differ. This is what reflects in their parenting styles as well. As the police commissioner and a clean cop, Dante prefers to follow procedures. He follows the law to the “T” and lets justice take its right course.

On the other hand, Lulu has always been wild and rarely follows the right path. She is impulsive and follows her heart. As such, she will extend the same values to her children. A recent example is that she stopped Rocco from spilling the truth to Dante.
