General Hospital's Elizabeth Webber is slated to become lonely as her last child, Aiden Webber, is ready to leave home to go to Paris. With his brothers, Cameron and Jake, also choosing to leave Port Charles for their education, Aiden is slated to make a similar move to follow his dream. With Aiden's departure, Elizabeth will become an empty nester. She shared her feelings with Dante Falconeri who assured her of his support whenever she needed it.

5 Turns in Elizabeth's Life That Can Keep Loneliness at Bay

1) Collaborations and further sparks with Dante

For the past many months, there's been a growing closeness between Elizabeth Webber (Rebecca Herbst) and Dante Falconeri (Dominic Zamprogna). What started as a casual friendly interaction has consistently developed into a more mature friendship.

Recently, they were seen having each other's backs in times of need. With her son, Aiden Webber (Colin Cassidy), slated to leave for Paris, Liz will likely have more time on her hands to look for her own happiness. She may spend more quality time with Dante, help him cope with his issues, and form a stronger bond.

2) Getting embroiled in the Willow-Lulu chaos

After Elizabeth refused to give permission to Lulu Spencer (Alexa Havins) for an interview with Jenz Sidwell (Carlo Rota), the journalist broke hospital rules to record the patient. Lulu also talked with Liz and others, and accessed medical records to publish a story accusing Congresswoman Willow Tait (Katelyn MacMullen) of drugging her husband.

While Liz was upset with Lulu for tricking her into sharing her opinions, the head nurse may not be able to cut herself off from this controversy. With Willow bringing a defamation case against Lulu as Lulu refuses to retract her story, Elizabeth may need to take the stand in court. She may find herself in a fix since she has been a friend of Willow's for years, while Dante will be backing his former wife, Lulu.

3) More responsible career advancement at General Hospital

For years, longtime General Hospital fans have seen Elizabeth put her dedication and hard work into her profession. At the same time, she was raising her three sons as a single mother. With all three kids leaving home, Liz can now give more time to her professional growth.

She is already head nurse. Perhaps she can get the opportunity to lead a medical outreach program, she will receive her due recognition for her years of service. While she would be involved in her work with the added responsibility, she may make her mark as a leader in medical care.

4) Exploring sisterhood around Port Charles

Longtime fans are aware that the General Hospital storyline has kept Elizabeth's arc confined to her problems, her romances and her role at the hospital. While Liz has a good rapport with most people, she is never shown having many close friends. As fans know, Elizabeth can be sweetly firm with one and all, including her boss, Portia Robinson (Brook Kerr), her former colleague, Willow, and the ill-tempered Dr. Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud).

However, with no rush to go home to her children after work, Elizabeth can find more time for her friendships and camaraderie. She may seek out other independent women in Port Charles and invest energy into these associations. That may include Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) and Lulu.

5) Playing a central role in solving mysteries

Fans may remember, during the early part of 2025, Elizabeth and her former husband, Lucky Spencer (Jonathan Jackson), played amateur sleuths, in a secret collaboration with Commissioner Anna Devane (Finola Hughes). The duo investigated Cyrus and submitted the report to Anna before Cyrus attacked them and took down Lucky temporarily.

In the current scenario, too many mysteries are hanging in Port Charles to be solved. Besides being dragged into Willow and Lulu's war, Elizabeth may actively try to help Dante locate the body of the WSB agent, Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna), or investigate the Pentonville violence. This would take Elizabeth's mind off her own loneliness and keep her busy in perilous activities.
