General Hospital's Josslyn Jacks has waged her war on Sonny Corinthos with a big corporate move. When Jenz Siwdell bought the piers that originally belonged to Sonny went up for auction, Josslyn indulged in a little corporate espionage to help Hudson Parker outbid Sonny, Drew Cain, Valentin Cassadine, and Selina Wu.
With this move, Josslyn believes she can take down Sonny. While this may be the right time to attack Sonny, who has quit the mob while battling the set-up by Drew, this may not be enough to destroy someone of Sonny's stature.
5 Reasons Josslyn is Misjudging Her Enemy
1) Letting blind grudge blur the whole picture

Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy) believes Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) is responsible for all the grief and loss Port Charles residents face. As such, she is fixated on taking Sonny down. Currently, she is operating under the impression that Sonny is behind the Pentonville attacks. However, by weakening Sonny, she will be handing out leverage to other ruthless players who framed Sonny.
When the truth comes out, she may be humbled to know how wrong her judgment was. (But is Josslyn ever humble?) Moreover, Sonny has always protected whoever he considers family, and Josslyn is one of them. As such, when the other vile players bring danger closer, it may be Sonny who saves Joss. On the other hand, if in her blind hatred Joss harms Sonny or others close to her mother, Carly Spencer (Laura Wright), the mother-daughter rift may be irreconcilable.
2) Confusing WSB badge with invincibility

Since being recruited into the WSB, the young agent has been pushing boundaries and disregarding official orders. From dating Agent Vaughn (Bryce Durfee) to going after Sonny, despite strict orders against it from Chief William Baines (Alimi Ballard), Josslyn has flouted the rules multiple times.
By targeting Sonny, Joss is working without an operational safety net. Unfortunately, anyone fighting Sonny from the front makes themselves vulnerable to his rivals and underworld associates. In a world where ruthless power rules over official decorum, any bullet aimed at Josslyn may not respect her badge.
3) Network of loyalty versus corporate planning

Josslyn chose to use JJE funds to take down Sonny despite the company's VP, Hudson Parker (Troy Lennon Appel), objecting to the plan. Essentially, she is tied to two organizations, JJE and WSB, both of which can fire her for making any wrong move that harms the organization. Moreover, she does not know Hudson, his connections, and loyalties very well yet.
Meanwhile, Sonny has spent years building a network of trust and loyalty around leverages, favors, and debts. Moreover, none of the participants in Sonny's network are beholden to government or any formal organization. As such, he has people like Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) and Brick (Stephen A. Smith) who would not even need verbal directions to do right by Sonny. In this war, Joss may need to manage red tape while Sonny can command personal loyalty and legal compliance.
4) Miscalculating the true scope of experience and connections

Sonny's true power does not come from a few pieces of assets and property. He has years of experience behind him, allowing him to command absolute faith and allegiance. Years of government organizations trying to make a move against him, such as the PCPD, the DA's office and the FBI, have failed to bring him down.
It may be too ambitious for Josslyn to think that she, alone, can ruin this powerful former kingpin with a smart strategic move to buy a property. She is undermining the importance of years of experience, patient networking, and support.
5) Predictable textbook work versus street smart endurance

As mentioned before, Josslyn's recent move to outbid and buy the piers may seem like a quick win, but this could also be a false win. Joss's moves are based on what she learned during her WSB training and her knowledge of corporate legalities. As such, she depends on planning, frameworks, and execution that make her moves eventually predictable, as she is driven by emotional grudge and anger.
Sonny operates on street intelligence and survival instincts. He has faced immense loss and survived diverse situations, from amnesia to intense grief. He has survived assassination attempts, turf wars, bombs, and official indictment. Unlike the fresh-faced Josslyn, Sonny has had his life dismantled many times leading to a hard armor that can withstand attacks, corporate or criminal. Unlike Joss's calculable actions, Sonny's ambiguity about how far he may go to protect his empire gives him an edge over his rivals.
