After months in a weelchair, General Hospital 's Drew is back among Port Charles society after Nina pushed his wheelchair into the lake. Drew's miraculous recovery has shocked the town, including his Quartermaine family. They have agreed to let him back onto the property, but Drew is already making threats to Brook Lynn. Will it ruin his second chance with the Q clan? Or is there anything he can do to salvahe things?

5 Steps Drew Can Take to Reconnect to the Quartermaine Family

1) Apologize to Ned, Michael and Tracy

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) has a long history of misbehavior with the Quartermaine family. He stole Michael Corinthos’ (Rory Gibson) wife and later tried to frame him for his shooting. He left Ned Quartermaine (Wally Kurth) struggling with chest pain when Ned was having a heart attack. And his atrocities against Tracy Quartermaine (Jane Elliot) include bringing the police on her, stealing family heirlooms, and trying to disgrace her in public.

The simplest way into the family again would be a heartfelt apology to all. Drew will need to convince everyone that he is contrite about his past actions. He will have to say the right things to please Tracy who can see through fake emotions. A genuine regret could work.

2) Form an alliance with Jason

Ever since they learned the other existed, Drew has been jealous of his twin, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). He was furious when the Qs kicked him out of the house, despite being a politician and a former Navy SEAL, but the same family welcomed henchman Jason into the fold. He has openly shown his dislike for his brother, including keeping his daughter away from Jason’s son, Danny Morgan (Asher Antonyzyn).

If Drew buries the hatchet with his twin and offers to join hands against common enemies, he may win Tracy’s heart. If Drew can save Jason’s life in any danger connected to the WSB or mob war, he may find himself revered as a true Quartermaine.

3) Leverage Scout as the Quartermaine bridge

As Tracy has expressed many times, she considers Scout Cain (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) a Quartermaine, while refusing to let Drew use the family name. Recently, Tracy allowed Drew by the lake to watch Scout swim and has acquiesced to Danny’s request to let the former congressman visit the premises with his daughter.

Drew would be smart to recognize this advantage and utilize the same. He can put his daughter’s happiness over his selfish ego and let her stay connected to her extended family. The Quartermaines will likely notice this positive change. As such, an emotional appeal from Scout may be his entry point into the family fold.

4) Help Michael win the custody battle

Although Drew tried to frame Michael for his shooting, the former congressman now knows that Willow was his real shooter. At the time, in collusion with Willow, he had made a vicious enemy out of Michael. However, now he has an opportunity to undo his wrongs.

Since he knows that Willow and Michael’s custody battle is pending, as revenge on Willow, Drew may consider aligning with Michael. If he helps Michael get custody of his children, Drew may earn Michael’s forgiveness and acceptance from the Qs. On an aside, it may also improve his relationship with Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard).

5) Expose Willow and Nina’s murder attempts

While both Drew and Willow have agreed on keeping the other’s crimes a secret, Drew has made no such deal with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros). As such, he may contemplate exposing Nina’s attempt at drowning him. Once that is established, Willow’s actions may come out as a natural consequence.

Drew may not have to deliberately reveal Willow’s crimes. An investigation into Nina may open up all, as Drew plays the victim. Since Tracy dislikes Willow for betraying Michael, an exposing her crimes will please the Quartermaines. In response, they may soften towards Willow’s victim, Drew.

5 Moves That May Spoil Drew’s Opportunity For a Quartermaine reunion

1) Using his recovery for revenge

So far, since regaining his control on movement and speech, Drew has shown he is intent on revenge. He tried to attack Willow, before Jack Brennan (Chris McKenna) arrived with a gun to stop him. Later, he was seen threatening to keep Scout away from her family again.

It seems his traumatic experience has not changed Drew into a better person. Now that he is up and about, he may run around trying to take revenge on all and sundry. He may focus on his own revenge over building a positive life for himself and his daughter. This will expectedly annoy the Quartermaine family, who will not want to bend over backwards to accommodate him.

2) Continuing to target Danny

As was evident from Drew’s visit with Alexis Davis (Nancy Lee Grahn), Drew has not learned any lesson from his paralytic episode. He is still trying to keep Scout away from Danny and her grandmother Alexis.

To resume from where he left off, Drew may consider suing Danny for ignoring his restraining orders. Since Danny spoke in favor of Drew to Tracy, the Quartermaine family will be furious if Drew targets the teenager. They may pull their weight against the former congressman and work to take him down.

3) Using blackmail to victimize others

Now that Tracy has agreed to let Drew onto her property as long as he is with Scout, Drew is going to get entry into the Quartermaine house after many months.

If Drew continues to play be as obnoxious as ever, he may find ways to destroy others’ lives. From blackmailing Willow, Nina and Brennan to hanging the sword on Danny, Drew may try to wield his lost power over others. If he finds any piece of information about Phoebe’s parentage, he may use that to corner Tracy.

4) Trying to takeover Quartermaine control

Drew spent much of 2025 trying to get his hands on the Quartermaine property. As mentioned before, in the past, he had called the police on Tracy, stolen family heirlooms, and tried to forcibly enter Monica’s memorial service. He even tried to get Ronnie Bard (Erika Slezak) to sell the mansion to him, when Marty played with Monica's will.

Drew may again try to steal the property or acquire parts of the assets through subversive tactics and devious methods. He may also try to interfere in Ned’s ELQ or Michael’s Aurora, infuriating the family.

5) Drag the family into his corruption scandal

Drew Cain had taken the family name and called himself Drew Quartermaine while campaigning for congress. However, when his questionable actions were revealed, Tracy and Monica refused to let him use the Quartermaine name. While this angered Drew, he could not do much about it then.

However, he may try to wiggle in and use the family name again. If Willow proceeds to expose Drew’s in-office corruptions and he is dragged to court, the former congressman may consider using the Quartermaine connection to leverage an advantage. This may taint the Q family in the public’s eyes and force Tracy to make a public statement against Drew.
