Danger is ready to hit Port Charles as General Hospital's Anna Devane isn't as well as she appears on the surface. While she hallucinates a version of the deceased Peter West, she continues to pretend that her mental health has improved. At the same time, Britt Westbourne is back in town, picking up pieces of her life, thanks to WSB Director Ross Cullum’s machinations.
However, her problems are not over since the imaginary Peter has convinced Anna that Faison’s children will harm her and her granddaughter, Emma. With Peter and Nathan dead, and Cassius presumed dead, Britt the only surviving child of Faison, Anna is considering targeting her to protect her family.
6 Steps Anna Might Take to Victimize Britt
1) Stalking and interrogation

As fans have seen, Anna Devane (Finola Hughes) has been be fully cured while hallucinating the presence of the already-dead Peter August (Wes Ramsey). Recently, the imaginary Peter urged Anna to confront Britt Westbourne (Kelly Thiebaud), emphasizing that as Cesar Faison’s (Anders Hove) only living child, Britt would harm Anna and her granddaughter.
After a confrontation with Britt at GH when Anna had her routine phlebotomy, Anna asked Felicia Scorpio (Kristina Wagner) about Britt. Peter then encouraged Anna to offer help to Britt so that the latter will feel obligated and get closer to Anna. In response, Anna may follow Britt and talk to her. She may quiz the doctor while pretending to help.
2) Gaslighting support system

Commissioner Anna may consider isolating Britt from all friends and family. Since Britt has very few friends, and more enemies, this may not prove difficult for Anna. The commissioner will need to separate her from her mother, Liesl Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) and her romantic interest, Jason Morgan (Steve Burton). She may also need to keep Britt away from Rocco Falconeri (Finn Carr), who has developed trust and love for his surrogate mother.
While Anna may not be aware about the newly developed camaraderie between Britt and Lucas Jones (Van Hansis), she will likely look for any new network that Britt may have formed and the people who may save her from Anna’s attack.
3) Challenging medical authority

With Britt trying to find a new foothold at the hospital again, any problem with patients may land Britt in trouble. While Britt is not directly involved with Anna’s healthcare, if Anna raises a question about her abilities or efficiency, Britt’s job will be at risk.
Anna may use this tactic to torture Britt and leave her unemployed. She may bring up the Huntington’s fiasco and spark concern about a doctor not knowing her own disease. If made public, this will point fingers at Britt’s fitness to be a capable doctor. Anna may hope that if Britt is rendered unemployed, she may be forced to leave Port Charles.
4) Setting a trap for her

The commissioner may also look for underhanded ways to have Britt fired and forced out of town. If all her schemes about questioning Britt’s authority in medical practice does not bring the goods, Anna may consider subterfuge.
General Hospital viewers may see Anna trapping Britt in the guise of an official investigation. Alternatively, she may fabricate evidence linking Britt with Faison’s projects and conspiracies, such as planting Faison’s tools, files or poisons in Britt’s apartment or locker. Moreover, she may reopen the recent Rocco-connected kidnapping case to stop Britt from functioning effectively.
5) Using false evidence

Anna may broaden her deception strategies to catch Britt off-guard. The commissioner may use all her network in WSB and PCPD to pull in the support from authority to destroy Britt. She may make use of official machinery to plant fake evidence of medical malpractice against Britt.
The former WSB may get someone to alter dosages or swap charts. She could blackmail Britt or order a formal hospital investigation or move to get Britt’s medical license cancelled.
6) Planning Britt’s elimination

If all the above-mentioned tactics fail, General Hospital fans may find Anna taking a final, ruthless step. In her desperation to protect her family, friends and herself from Faison’s shadows, she may plan to physically eliminate Britt. If Peter lingers in Anna’s hallucinations, she may succumb to the ultimate attack.
However, as a smart detective, Anna would likely make a plan that is staged as an accident. She may tamper with an elevator or a lab setup, or even a hospital equipment to make an impression of a workplace mishap during one of Britt’s late-night shifts.
