Over the past several weeks on General Hospital, a new friendship has developed between cousins Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) and Willow (Katelyn MacMullen). On top of that, Britt is doing her best to help Willow get away with drugging Drew (Cameron Mathison). Isn't Britt supposed to be changed for the better now? Why is she backsliding by protecting her dangerous cousin? Here's what GH fans are saying.

Britt offered to help Willow after Lulu's article came out

GH fans are perplexed by the fast friendship between Willow and Britt. Sure, they are cousins, but soap cousins don't always interact with each other. They are not always involved in the same storylines and didn't even know they were cousins before Britt allegedly died.

Here's what some Twitter fans are saying in reaction to Willow and Britt as instant besties.

"Am I the only one who finds Britt suddenly being Willow's biggest cheerleader and defender weird?" one fan wondered. "This seems to have come completely out of left field. I get that they are related, but when did that even become a thing with them?"

Another fan replied, "Britt is grasping cause she has no one else really. She doesn't even have a real relationship with her mother. Liesl would trade her in a minute for either of her sons and she knows it."

Another viewer wrote, "I think they needed someone else for Britt to have a connection to with JaBritt over and Liesl never on. They only started interacting like a month ago. And with Nina in prison, Willow doesn't have anyone to be openly insane in front of, so now Britt can fill that role."

One fan offered a unique perspective, saying, "I think GH is trying to make them the twisted version of the Davis girls. LOL"

"I think they just finally remembered that they are related," another fan remarked. "And lacking female relationships. I don't mind them connecting, but if they're going to cheer on and protect the worst in each other, it's going to be annoying."

"One would have thought that Liesl, if anyone, would be the one stepping up and in for the absent Nina," another fan pointed out.

We do need more of Liesl (Kathleen Gati) on the GH canvas. Britt is probably still struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder after almost being shot by Anna (Finola Hughes) a few weeks ago. Britt could use her mother's support.

"It's about time the cousins share screen time," one fan noted.

"I think they are desperate for someone to be a friend to them," another fan said.

"Britt and Lucas seemed a bit more natural," still another fan remarked. "They should expand on that. But the Britt/Willow friendship came out of nowhere."

Britt talked Sidwell into denying what he'd told Lulu

Britt visited Sidwell (Carlo Rota) in the hospital and showed him Lulu's published article on her phone. She warned him that the WSB might come after him, since Ross Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) obtained the paralytic drug that Sidwell gave to Willow — a drug that Cullum evidently got from the WSB. That was all Sidwell needed to hear. Now, he's denying everything he told Lulu in the interview.

Why is Britt helping Willow cover up her crimes? Here's what more Twitter fans are saying about it.

"Britt is doing this because she likes messing with Lulu," one fan speculated. "This isn't to help Willow."

Another fan replied, "Exactly. It's a great way to get at Lulu."

"Why all of a sudden does Britt care about Willow and Sidwell who held her against her will to finish the prototype?" one fan wondered. "Somebody make sense out of it."

"The crazy is deep in that family. LOL," one amused fan said.

"It makes sense these two loons would forge some type of bond," another fan commented. "They can give each other tips on lying and cheating."

Britt stood up for Willow to Lucas and Joe

There are already a number of GH characters who are keeping quiet about Willow's crimes. Many Twitter fans are disappointed that Britt has now been added to that list. She even defended Willow when Detective Joe Fitzpatrick (Jonathan Bennett) came to the hospital and questioned Lucas (Van Hansis) about Jack Brennan's (Chris McKenna) disappearance. Here are the reactions of those fans.

"If anything, [Britt] should be helping Lulu to prove she's actually a decent person who deserves to see Rocco," one fan said.

That's a good point, especially considering that it's high time Willow's crimes are exposed. It's been dragging on long enough with no pay-off. Britt could have done something to help Lulu (Alexa Havins) prove the validity of her article. That would have scored her big points with Rocco (Finn Carr), who would probably love to see Lulu and Britt make peace with each other.

"I like Lucas' reaction," another fan said. "She doth protest too much. That was a little too aggressively defensive by Britt."

"This is why I never fell for the Britt has changed argument," another fan commented.

Do you think that Britt's true motivation is to stick it to Lulu? Are you frustrated that she's helping Willow get away with drugging Drew? Sound off in the comments.
