"Do you have your taser?" General Hospital fans loved the Quartermaine chaos after Yuri and Olivia threatened Drew

The latest battle on General Hospital in the war between the Quartermaines and their black sheep congressman took a humorous twist on the Monday, January 12th episode.

When Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) showed up at the Q mansion, he found himself in the crosshairs of an angry Yuri (Cyrus Hobbi), then on the business end of a shotgun held by Olivia (Lisa LoCicero).

Ned (Wally Kurth) had just told his family that Drew left him to die after he suffered his heart attack outside Bobbie’s. When Drew hobbled with his cane inside the front door, Yuri took it away from him and threatened to hit him with it. Tracy (Jane Elliot) asked if Yuri had his taser. Soon after Yuri did that, Olivia came down the staircase with one of Edward’s guns.

Drew smirked, thinking Olivia wouldn’t shoot him because Chase (Josh Swickard) was there. But Chase grinned mischievously and shrugged, telling Drew he couldn’t do anything because not only was he suspended, but the congressman was trespassing. Drew then left.

Having Olivia and Yuri take the lead against the smarmy and slimy politician brought some unexpected humor to what had been a serious discussion. Ned’s revelation about Drew turned into a fresh burst of Quartermaine shenanigans and mayhem, punctuated by Olivia bringing out her Bensonhurst feistiness.

Seeing Drew have another gun from Edward’s collection pointed at him, albeit an unloaded one, was a bright spot of levity during some heavy stuff on the show the last few weeks while Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) has been on trial for his shooting.

Many General Hospital fans noticed this and enjoyed the Quartermaine craziness. They also celebrated the return of the tall and imposing Belarusian butler, whose portrayer was a standout offensive lineman in high school and college. Hobbi shared a clip of the episode on his Instagram Stories.

On X, the fan @LAtwopointoh said, “I love that Yuri has that smoke for Drew, he was ready.”

@crimsonrum opined, “This is the Quartermaine shenanigans we know and love. Yuri ready to beat Drew, Liv threatening to protect her house from trespassers & Chase saying he’s suspended and Drew is trespassing. (A little reprieve from annoying Chase). Martin was out of there so quickly.” @hananazizi77 laughed because “Drew keeps getting wrecked, and it's hilarious. Yuri takes his cane with a swift strike.”

@tiff_fb added, “Finally someone snatched that cane out from Drew's hand. Now smack him with it, Yuri! Or use your taser, whatever, dealer's choice.”

On General Hospital’s Instagram post showing another scene from that episode, several fans weighed in on the fun moments at the Qs.

Jenny430225 also wanted to see Yuri do more than just hit Drew with his own cane, saying “Nice to see Yuri today. I laughed when Tracy said ‘Do you have your taser Yuri??’ I liked the way he was looking out for ‘Miss Tracy.’”

Eyecandy1031 said, “Olivia pulling the gun out on Drew was hilarious. Tracy was BEYOND impressed. Drew will never be a part of the Quartermaines. Bye bye Drew.”
