General Hospital actor Bryce Durfee and his wife Amber Rood Durfee said goodbye to a beloved dog recently. But for a good reason.The couple, who have been married since 2019, paid tribute to a dog named Molly, who has been part of the family for the past year.Durfee ,who plays Agent Vaughn on the show, and his wife work with a facility in Long Beach, California and to help the dogs find new homes. Unfortunately, Molly’s owners had illness and mobility issues and couldn’t care for her anymore.The couple have four dogs and couldn’t keep Molly themselves, so they worked to find a new home for her and shared their success. On Instagram, the couple shared a reel of Molly, his brother and the pup’s new owners.They said her brother “was smitten from the very first walk. Over the next year, he learned her story — once a stray, then adopted from the shelter by a loving family.“Sadly, due to illness and mobility issues, her paw-rents could no longer care for her. It was a heartbreaking but selfless decision made out of love. We promised to find Molly not just a new home, but the right one. Their most recent one was in December, with Durfee pretending to be Chevy Chase’s famous character Clark Griswold from the Christmas Vacation franchise.They have been posting content this week to their Instagram Stories of a reunion they are having in Florida. The General Hospital actor has been in Orlando filming a Hallmark holiday movie at Walt Disney World with Lacey Chabert as the star. The couple shared a video of Bryce and Amber happily seeing each other again after three weeks, with Amber arriving in Florida and leaping into her hubby’s arms.They posted pictures at a golf course with the couple hanging out with actor Richard Kind. They also shared pictures from Epcot Center, the beach and other tourist attractions in the area.They also made several posts from a vacation in Mexico in November.Durfee’s General Hospital character has been missing in action since November, when Brennan (Chris McKenna) had Vaughn taken away for continuing his romantic relationship with Josslyn Jacks (Eden McCoy).Durfee hasn’t indicated if his character will ever be returning to Joss and Port Charles. It’s possible that Vaughn’s kidnapping was written to coincide with the actor filming his Hallmark project in Orlando, and once he is done working there, Durfee will eventually return to General Hospital.With the drama and intrigue surrounding Anna’s captivity and the arrival of WSB Director Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) to oversee the situation at Wyndemere, there are certainly opportunities for Vaughn to come back, be a hero and redeem himself.
