General Hospital star Cosette Abinante celebrated her 13th birthday Wednesday, January 21st.
Abinante, who plays Scout Cain, spent her birthday in Scout’s world at the General Hospital studio.
She shared moments from her day in Stories on her Instagram account, which is run by her parents.

The young star shared a picture of herself in a hallway outside dressing rooms in the studio, captioning it, “Turning 13 on set!”
She also shared a video of her entering the studio and being serenaded with “Happy Birthday” by cast and crew.
Kate Mansi, who plays Scout’s aunt Kristina Corinthos-Davis, was visible in the video singing along. Mansi also shared a picture of herself, Abinante and Nancy Lee Grahn (Alexis Davis), wishing her younger costar a happy birthday. The picture came from inside the Bobbie’s restaurant set, and Mansi showed Abinante drawing on the tablecloth there. It was unclear if the photo was taken on set that day so it's not necessarily a spoiler.
Abinante reposted birthday well-wishes on her Instagram Stories from other friends and supporters, including teammates of a club travel soccer team that she frequently posts about on her Instagram account.
The almost teenager has been on General Hospital since 2022 as the daughter of Sam McCall (Kelly Monaco) and Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison). Before coming to Port Charles, she appeared on TV series The Rookie: Feds and Superstore and appeared on Jimmy Kimmel Live several times in skits.
Abinante has played Scout through a difficult year in the preteen girl’s life. Scout has lost her mother and then found out her father was shot and nearly killed. Then she took part in the wedding as he married the woman who was on trial for shooting him, all the while welcoming Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) into the house as her stepmother.
While this was going on, her father was keeping her from seeing the rest of her family, particularly her older brother Danny (Asher Antonyzyn), her aunts and grandma Alexis.
Abinante has done a great job of making us feel Scout’s sadness at feeling lonely without her family while often seeming older and wiser than her years.
Now she will have more sadness to deal with after Drew’s stroke. As the January 22nd episode unfolded, Scout has yet to find out that her father is in the hospital again, fighting for his life, which will give Abinante more drama to play. But on the flip side, Scout will likely be spending more time with the rest of her family after Willow agreed to have her stay with Alexis. And Danny may get to some more time with her, too.
