General Hospital's Sonny spent way too much time baking pasta, playing with his rescue dog, and making glitter projects with Donna. But now he has returned to his mobster ways, ordering around goons, arranging for one-way tickets out of town, and playing hero in his own criminal sort of way. And he had a little help from some friends to get the job done.
General Hospital mobsters and friends

How wonderful was it to see Sonny (Maurice Benard) taking matters into his own hands and getting those hands dirty to finally get himself and Laura (Genie Francis) out the mess they have been in since last fall? Britt's (Kelly Thiebaud) last-minute phone call certainly paid off and Britt even got rid of Pascal (Marc Forget) in the process, so it's win-win.
Sonny didn't need Jason with guns. He didn't need the Pine Barrens. He didn't need a meathook. He just needed Lucas (Van Hansis) to be sneaky, Laura to be sweet, and the trio got what they wanted, which was a means to get those blackmail photos away from Sidwell so that he no longer had any power over them.
Watching Pascal squirm among the coffee bags was all we could ask for as Sonny put the squeeze on him and also offered a ticket to paradise. Too bad he couldn't get the full $50,000 because Lucas will be doing the grunt work. And a word about Lucas...
How do you not love Lucas?

This new iteration of Lucas really is a whole new Lucas, but we love him anyway. This version of Lucas is absolutely adorable, definitely hilarious, and seems to love mucking it up with the bad guys, or at the very least, the shades-of-grey guys.
Lucas seems to always be good for a caper, which is just the kind of guy we need around Port Charles. Need a dangerous deed done? Send the nice, unassuming guy into Wyndemere and just wait.
We always knew that Lucas living at Wyndemere would pay off, and now we suspect he will be the one to find his niece's ring. As soon as Jenz (Carlo Rota) mentioned her uncle could run into her while she's sneaking around, Josslyn (Eden McCoy) knew to drop that ring on the floor.
That might give us another dream team as we finally end Faison's final project once and for all.
