General Hospital's Sonny thanked Justine for convincing him to investigate and not jump to conclusions about why Ric lied to him on the May 14, 2026, episode. He told Justine he did just that...except, that is not what he did.
Sonny omits pertinent information
Justine (Nazneen Contractor) thinks Sonny (Maurice Benard) acted calmly and rationally when he questioned Ric (Rick Hearst) about why he had lied. After all, that is what he led her to believe. Sonny just didn't mention that while he questioned his brother about why he lied, he was holding Ric at gunpoint after having Ethan (Nathan Dean) drag Ava (Maura West) to the car.
If Justine knew that, she might want to rethink her relationship with this man, who clearly can't act rationally when it comes to family. If Sonny told the entire story, he'd have to also mention that he never even apologized to Ric for his behavior, which was a problem we had on Monday.
Sonny can never let anyone know he was wrong about anything, which means he can never ever say he is sorry to anyone. Maybe that's why he's been married and divorced so many times. Sonny even feels proud of himself and likely thinks he acted perfectly normal and not like a paranoid lunatic, waving a gun around in an art gallery for no reason.
If it weren't so frustrating, it would actually be amusing, but as of now, Justine thinks she did Sonny a solid and her new secret boyfriend is changing for the better, all because of her.
Where do General Hospital's Sonny and Ric go from here?
If we were Ric, we'd be demanding an apology from Sonny, but Ric is probably just happy to be alive and back in Sonny's good graces, when he never actually did anything to get into his bad graces.

Sonny just wants to brush the incident away like it never happened, but will Ric let him do it? That rivalry between Ethan and Ric is still there, with Ethan admitting to Kristina (Kate Mansi) that he still doesn't trust Ric. Does that mean Sonny is going to owe even more apologies soon? Maybe if he screws up again, he'll tell Justine the whole story this time.
