General Hospital Daily Rehash, May 16: An embarrassment of riches for Nurse Elizabeth

General Hospital's Carly and Elizabeth are two lucky women this year. Both have multiple gentleman callers, although one of Carly's is in a coma right now. However, Elizabeth's suitors are both healthy and awake, so she has one over Carly without having to lift a finger.

General Hospital unlikely friends

Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) and Dante (Dominic Zamprogna) have known one another for years, but until recently, they have barely spent any time together, much less in scenes that show a deep and abiding friendship forming. And a friendship that many fans would like to see turn into more.

There is an easy rhythm to their scenes, especially for Elizabeth because she is attached and doesn't see Dante as anything but a good friend she now shares a secret with. Both of them know Rocco (Finn Carr) was the one who shot Cullum (Andrew Hawkes), but they have to keep that fact hidden for obvious reasons.

That means they now share a bond that's been allowing them to open up to one another. Dante told Elizabeth that he didn't know how to be there for Rocco, while Liz confided her own long-ago trauma from when she was raped as a teen. Dante was definitely not happy when Liz had to leave, as he knew she was on her way to a date with Ric (Rick Hearst).

Dante had already warned Elizabeth to stay away from Ric because nobody trusts him. However, he has been doing his best to prove he is a new man and pulled out the big guns (so to speak) when he presented Elizabeth with a rare piece of art as a gift.

His love for her is apparent and she lights up whenever she is with him. However, she doesn't know the secret he tried to tell her a while back actually involved her. When she finds out he used their car accident to extort money out of Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn), there may be trouble in paradise and we know Dante will be there to pick up the pieces.

And Ric? Well, maybe he was meant to be with the first person he sat own with at Cafe Cherie tonight. Alexis has been lonely for an awfully long time and the chemistry is still there...
