Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

Remember how Sonny was supposed to retire a year ago? Remember how Sonny was supposed to retire six months ago? Remember how Sonny spent the entirety of 2025 talking about retiring. Well, he still hasn't retired, but he did remember the last piece of advice that Luke Spencer gave him before walking off into the fog over a decade ago. Luke told him that it was time to find a different kind of life while he still had the time. That was essentially Sonny's reasoning for his retirement plans last year. He was having heart troubles and facing mortality. Then, Michael was burned thanks to a fire bomb meant for him. Sonny decided he still needed to retire, but only after neutralizing that threat. Welp, the threat still hasn't been neutralized and we still don't know who exactly set that fire. (Sidwell? Cullum? Even Jack?) So, maybe we can speed things up now and get to the bottom of that story. We're pretty sure the writers had no idea who set that incendiary advice a year ago, but there are multiple choices at the moment, so let's get to it. Then, Sonny can finally retire and live his happy life as a single dad with Donna, Avery, and their pooch, Fizz. He can make all the pizza and pasta he wants and Luke would be proud of his friend for choosing a better life.
