Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:

What Happened on General Hospital

Today was one of those "one of these things is not like the other" episodes that General Hospital had been doing on the regular a while back. That's when scenes that have no relation to anything or anyone else in the episode are somehow inserted for apparently no real reason except maybe to fill time. That is exactly what Nathan and Lulu's scenes felt like on January 15th. James randomly hurt himself while ice skating, so Lulu brought him to the ER, and Isaiah even got to make an under-five cameo appearance and utter one line. The whole thing seemed weird when much of the show was about Anna's disappearance (which related to Emma and Gio, as well as the folks at the ax bar) and Willow's guilt or innocence (which related to Laura, Marty, and the Qs). Were Lulu and Nathan's scenes there to remind us that the show is supposed to revolve around a hospital and not espionage and the mob? We know that GH wants Nathan and Lulu to have feelings for one another by the time Maxie wakes, but throwing them in random, pointless scenes centered around Nathan and Maxie's son is a very ham-handed way to do it and makes us feel like we now have to root for them, even if we don't want to. And we are not sure we want to, especially since we are not sure that Nathan really is Nathan.

If you can’t wait until the next episode, we have daily spoilers, too! And whatever you do this weekend, do not…seriously, do NOT…forget to read the Two Scoops for some laughs (hey, admit it, we’re funny) in the as-close-as-we-can-come to being a watching party without actually being a show — and the best part is if you agree or disagree, we want to know! You can watch General Hospital weekdays on ABC and Hulu.
