Welcome to the General Hospital Daily Y.A.P.P. (Your After-Program Ponderings) for a quick — and by that, I mean you’re already halfway done — recap of the most amazing or what-the-heck-did-we-just-watch moments on today’s episode. Let’s get to it:
What Happened on General Hospital
We saw it coming and we put out warnings, but General Hospital decided long before our warnings that they were going to do this whether we liked it or not. So, Danny and Charlotte have chemistry and kissed, but Danny and Charlotte are also cousins and shouldn't have kissed. And now we are torn cause they are absolutely adorable together. And they are cousins. So, what now? We have half the fandom up in arms about this and the other half confused, asking how Danny and Charlotte are related. So, another refresher is coming. Mikkos and Victor Cassadine were brothers. Danny's mom was Mikkos Cassadine's granddaughter and Charlotte's dad is Victor Cassadine's son. So yes, cousins. With chemistry. Oy. So, now what? Do we just have a convenient case of amnesia and enjoy the ride, no matter how inappropriate this is? And didn't we just have a story where two people fell in love, learned they were cousins, and broke up? We assume Danny and Charlotte already know they are cousins. Heck, they even lived together as brother and sister when Anna and Valentin were on the run for months, and Dante and Sam took in Charlotte. That makes this even weirder. The Bold and the Beautiful is supposed to be the semi-incestuous soap, not GH. Although we guess many decades ago, Celia Quartermaine fell for Jimmy Lee Holt, who was her cousin. So, here we are again, with a Quartermaine falling for a cousin. Sigh.
