General Hospital actors and real-life couple Carlo Rota and Nazneen Contractor, who play opposite sides of the law in Port Charles as Jenz Sidwell and Justine Turner, are celebrating their 16th wedding anniversary. They have two children, Darius, 14, and Avalucia, 8.The family has been in Japan this week, enjoying a vacation. Rota put a photo on Instagram with him and his wife smiling for the camera, and a video of the couple kissing with the kids near them. Rota captioned the post, “And suddenly: it's Sweet Sixteen Years of kisses and wrestling and fun and love and travel and bliss and more! Oh yes, also children and more! Love love love!!”Adrian Anchondo, who played Rota’s son, Marco Rios, commented on the post, “Power family!”Tanisha Harper (Jordan Ashford) added, “Love you two!!!”Dozens of fans took to Instagram to wish them a happy anniversary. They have spent time in Tokyo and Kyoto, enjoying genuine Japanese cuisine at restaurants and seeing a number of tourist attractions, from exotic outdoor gardens to ancient temples.They shared photos of an anniversary dinner with their children on their Instagram Stories.Rota captioned one picture from a temple in a philosophical way, saying, “The gates symbolize the transition from the mundane to the spiritual. I sometimes think of my bride this way. They didn’t start dating until years later, after both had starred separately in recurring stints on the well-known Fox primetime series 24. Rota, who played the husband of a main character, Chloe O’Brian, played by Mary Lynn Rajskub, was at a bar in Toronto with Rajskub when he ran into Contractor. They remembered being on Relic Hunter together, and the rest is history.Both Rota and Contractor have been with General Hospital since 2024. Their characters have rarely interacted on screen. Their biggest scenes together came in July, 2025, when Sidwell went to the PCPD to try to find Marco, who at the time was being held captive by Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard). Justine tried to help Sidwell find his son.Jenz and Justine were both enemies of Sonny for a long time. That has changed now because the acting district attorney is currently dating Sonny while Sidwell is on the warpath against the mob boss, whom he suspects of killing Marco.
