General Hospital Fans Are Split as Drew Comes Back as Terrible as Ever

Drew Cain is back on General Hospital, which could either be a good thing or a bad thing, depending on whom you ask. While it's nice that there is finally movement in this story, it looks like Drew is picking up right where he left off, something that has sparked some debate with fans.

It seemed pretty clear last week when Jason (Steve Burton) and Danny (Asher Antonyzyn) mentioned the idea of Scout (Kayden Brenna Tokarski) and Danny being able to see one another that Drew (Cameron Mathison) had learned nothing during his time in a wheelchair. During his first few days back in action, Drew proved last week's theory to be correct.

His first move was to threaten Willow's (Katelyn MacMullen) freedom and even her life, but his second move after visiting the doctor was to inform Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) she'd make sure that Danny could never see Scout again. He'd even keep her from Alexis.

That was where we were when Drew entered his paralytic state in January and now we are right back where we started. While some fans expected this, others wanted a kinder, gentler Drew.

"Drew is obviously still the same narcissistic, abusive, horse’s a$$ he was before being paralyzed," @SharinVa said on X. "Taking Scout’s family away from her again. How long are we going to have to endure this torture???"

@GHGeneralTruth doesn't like Drew, but is glad he is possibly worse than ever because they feel Nina and Willow deserve it.

"Let's not get confused. I don't like Drew. I don't think he's a good person. I don't root for him in general, and you can be sure that when he tries to come for Alexis, I'll be dragging him all over. But, Nina and Willow deserve every ounce of whatever Drew does to them."

@rodrigosworld1982 was not surprised at all the Drew hasn't made an attitude adjustment after six months of Willow's torture. "Did you expect Drew to suddenly be a good guy after enduring all that?" he asked.

@mina_middy may have summed up the events of this week best, while not letting Willow off the hook, writing: "Drew and Willow are back terrorizing the town. Drew wants to take Scout from Alexis. Willow wants to change the custody agreement with Michael."
