General Hospital: How Will Jason React to Carly and Valentin’s Secret?

When Jason Morgan (Steve Burton) finds Carly (Laura Wright) getting cozy with Valentin (James Patrick Stewart), he won't be able to believe that Carly could be so reckless as to put her own freedom on the line after allowing his family to think he was dead while trying to protect her from racketeering charges nearly five years ago.

To discover that Carly is harboring a fugitive, especially one like Valentin, would be a massive slap in the face to the sacrifices Jason made.

Jason isn't the type to get caught up in petty jealousy. His mind is all business, focused on the tactics, not romance. If he walks in on them, his go-to won't be about betrayal; it will be about the absolute nightmare he believes Valentin represents.

To Jason, Valentin isn't just a charming Cassadine. He is an international fugitive whose involvement with Carly poses a danger to everyone. He does not yet realize that Valentin can help him save Britt (Kelly Thiebaud).

We know Carly has a history of being impulsive, but hiding Valentin in her home and keeping it a secret from Jason is exceptionally reckless. This is next-level reckless when you break down all that is happening. Valentin might claim he has feelings for her, but Jason doesn't trust him at all. After all, he nearly killed Carly last year when she drank polonium-tainted champagne. It might have been meant for Jack (Chris McKenna), but Carly nearly died.

The issue here isn't just about a secret romance. It's about Carly doing something that can undermine what Jason is trying to do for Britt, while also placing her life and Josslyn's (Eden McCoy) life in danger. Jason asked Carly to never breathe a word about Josslyn's involvement with the WSB, but she made a dangerous move behind his back instead. She then kept a secret from him for months, something Carly doesn't usually do.
